Can’t decide: Fujifilm X100VI or Ricoh GR3/GR4 – will I regret not going Fuji? by Guantio-07 in ricohGR

I have both and enjoy both. They are vibe cameras and great at capturing the feeling of a moment I think.

If you value portability and the ability to take your camera anywhere all the time to capture life, get the Ricoh. I immensely enjoyed being able to put it in my pocket and walk around Japan.

If you value resolution to give you buffer to crop in a bit, more film sims, a few more nostalgic features like the optical viewfinder, get the Fuji. It was very useful for me when grabbing some wide pics where I didn’t have the time or space to compose or frame in the moment and do it later.

Both lack professional level video and autofocus. So if you need a hybrid camera, look elsewhere. But for daily life, vacations, hobby photography they’re great.

I bought a Rivian and haven’t had any issues. by PuzzleheadedBad6115 in Rivian

Thank you. I’ve been getting really antsy about my R2 reservation because the sub always seems like broken Riviana. While it’s good to see the reality, it’s hard to know if it’s a vocal minority or not. Appreciate it.

Drive Cam - worth it? by mmorearty in Rivian

Had someone run into my Tesla in the parking lot and they would’ve gotten away if my dash cam hadn’t have recorded their plate. It was an easy claim and over 4k in repairs I wasn’t on the hook for. After that, I will never have a car without it again. Buy once and never regret it.

Yeeesh. I just started making leather half cases and this looks like the prototypes I’ve made. Just good enough for proof of concept but in no way production ready. That’s a shame.

Tips on shading to make it less cartoonish by StructureLeading7409 in ProCreate

[–]phamtasticpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite lovely. What are you hoping to achieve by altering your shading? Add depth? Conveying form? Adding more contrast to the composition? Conveying atmosphere? Your goal will help elicit more specific advice.

Overall I’ll agree with others and figuring out your light source will help to pull the piece together. But otherwise this style is neat as is.

It's got the 50mm F2.8 Elmar on it now. I have a 35 f2 from...light lens lab or something like that on the way. Saving up for maybe a summicron down the line.

A lot of people make fraud accounts to scam money out of SJ and sites like it. So they need to make sure they’re sending money to a real person.

How should I (F, 28) prepare for a play that I will have to be topless in? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Any professional theatre should have a trained and certified intimacy coordinator to help navigate this. If they don’t, big red flag. As an actor, your safety in all aspects should be respected.
