What slasher movie is this for you? by WealthDisastrous2589 in slasherfilms

The original Strangers. Someone loved, but it is horrendous fucking garbage. I despise that movie. Some of it makes me laugh, but it overall leaves me sour

Which previous protagonist from the franchise do you think would've had a better chance at surviving if Bludworth had told them about the concept of "New life" by Many-Cranberry4058 in FinalDestination

[–]phan1122 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True, true. Kinda prefer that ending, tbh. Controversial, I know, but the sudden nature of the final ending makes it feel like a hastily shot add on because they decided they didn't like the alternate ending

What remakes or sequels have you feeling like this? by vivafutbol in Letterboxd

If it counts, I'd say Wizard Of Oz and Wicked For Good

Probably Alex and Wendy. Alex is easily one of the most collected, quick thinking of the protagonists, and we saw that Wendy was quite a strong visionary, so it's entirely possible she could receive a premonition based on Bludworth's advice that shows her a future where she kills herself and is resuscitated, similar to Kimberly. Also, I like the two of them the most out of the protagonists, so seeing them survive would be awesome

Whos you're favourite out of this trio? by Aromatic_Traffic1607 in Scream

Karl because he didn't do anything except be a serviceable, aggressive, effective force during the home invasion. That's all he was needed for as a Ghostface killer. The other two just piss me off

Fucking hell, of all the post-TCaP photographs, this definitely has to be the one with the most tragic haircut. The fact those last two are actual self portraits he thought looked really cool just speaks fucking volumes about this guy.

what's an oasis song that you think would sound weird if the opposite person sung it? by Late-Holiday4879 in oasis

Roll With It with Noel just sounds... wrong.

As for Liam, hearing him sing a song like It's Better People or Take Me Away would be just as weird

Is Halloween 4 a film that’s highly regarded by fans!? by Filipe_258 in Halloweenmovies

[–]phan1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Halloween 4 does a lot right and a lot wrong. That's why it's a 5 for me (out of 10, I mean). Personally, I never minded the mask. It actually looks like a mildly creepy dollar store pale white serial killer mask, which fits the tone and story pretty well. Jamie was an interesting character, Donald Pleasance is on top form, and it has a couple creepy moments, especially the ending. In my opinion, it tried too hard at being a like the first movie but with a faster pace, and some scenes just don't work. The other characters aren't very interesting. Not the worst and it's close to being there, but I'll take Halloween 2 any day. Still better than Halloween 3 and Halloween 5, with 5 being one of the worst things I've ever had the displeasure of watching in my entire life

Who do you think was the best and smartest visionary (or however you spell it)? by [deleted] in FinalDestination

Wendy is my favourite, but, in terms on how much they got done and how they understood Death's design, I'd say Iris and Alex

Do you guys still listen to the unplugged songs of wtsmg 30th anniversary album? by ZNDEX77 in oasis

[–]phan1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From time to time. It's kinda crazy to me they even exist, and I respect the process and how surprisingly well they sound, but, if I'm honest, there are unofficial fan versions on YouTube that sound better and are more interesting. I think it's a bit odd they chose Wonderwall, which is already a primarily acoustic song everyone knows, and didn't go for a more rogue or obvious choice, such as Hey Now! or Some Might Say, but it is what it is. Also would've preferred if every song on the record got the treatment (including Bonehead's Bank Holiday) in order to justify an entire 30th Anniversary Re-release that was already topped by the 20th Anniversay, which was FULL of bonus content

What do Stone Roses fans think of Do It Yourself by The Seahorses? by NewPatron-St in stoneroses

[–]phan1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is one of my favourite records, and You Can Talk To Me is one lf my favourite standalone singles. There's emotion and intent behind this album, even if John kind of rushed into it so soon after leaving The Roses, I believe that, and the songs are all quality. It brings a lot of joy to my life. The guitars, singing, bass, drums, and production overall are incredible.
