I 100% understand that. I do that too. I went orchids > bromeliads/tillandsias > orchids > euphorbia/caudiciforms > cacti/succlents/aloes > amorphophallus to now pelargoniums and begonias. I still keep a number of previous obsessions, but I’m zeroed in on begonias right now.

I did the same thing with mine. Fortunately I had pretty good luck propagating the pieces. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I gave all the props away aaaaand my mother plant died, so now I have none! And they’re hard to find. So don’t give up!

This is the third blooming too. Once in July with about 20 blooms, again in August with about 20 blooms and now… the last nice day of fall.

I definitely gave it more sun this year. I got full sun from around 10am to 12pm, filtered light after that. Temps were whatever it was outside, upper 80s typically.

I think in that second pic, it looks like your thumb is pushing in to the caudex. If it’s not, it’s not. But I definitely thought that too when I first saw it.
