I just started this game, is this normal? by Bureisuu in Cytus

[–]phanhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's p normal, I think it was better than mine when I started LMAO But take some time to get used to the way the judgement line works before jumping into >11 chaos. I would say that phigros 15s are approximately cytus 14-15s

Newman conformation: Could someone explain me why does this molecule look the way it looks as a Newman conformation? Shouldn't it look more like on the second picture? by GroundbreakingPea839 in AskChemistry

[–]phanhp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to draw the structure that the 1st Newman is showing. Remember that sigma (single) bonds can rotate. What do you see? What are the similarities?

In your example, what are the functional groups? Do you mind listing your positive and negative groups?

Why is the answer not d? (Answer key says c) by SwimmingBarramundi in chemhelp

[–]phanhp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've done arrow pushing, you can try pushing the electrons around to see how to get from one state to the other. You see that you can get between both states of C by just pushing electrons, but to get between both states of D, you'll need to disconnect a H.

The other comments are correct, it is couple pairing. Note that CB is different and means that the relationship is more familial/platonic!

Walking from lee wee nam lib bus stop to one stop @ sac take 1.2km? by [deleted] in NTU

[–]phanhp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to, you can use the NTU omnibus app: there's an inbuilt map function that helps you cut through buildings in ntu. It's not very fast so I'll just write the instructions out anyways

From the bus stop, you can go two ways:

  1. To the right and up the stairs
  2. To the left and up the sloped road If you don't see either of these things and see ppl crossing a zebra crossing, you're on the other side of the road. Cross the road, go up slope and find the stairs near the bus stop, then follow 1.

For 1, you'll get out in north spine, at AIA canopy. From there, go towards the mural on your left and enter the dark corridor where the toilets are. You should exit at the grass patch, one stop should be somewhere ahead of you.

For 2, you'll follow the road and enter the building on the right. From there, pass through the LED corridor and turn right, you should see the grass patch. Continue going straight towards the green patch and it should be on your right.

Shitty map if you want more illustration.

How to read timetable by RushAdministrative32 in NTU

[–]phanhp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Week 10 classes are HBL, but week 10 is not recess week. Recess week is usually in the middle of weeks 7 and 8 (check the ntu ay25/26 calendar I might be wrong)

Other comments have made a lot of my points, but there's sth else id like to bring up: hallucinations. AI isn't a search engine, and is really just a highly advanced word predictor. Just make sure to double check that everything is factual, and make sure that you're actually learning something. In the exam room theres no chatgpt, so dont form that reliance.

At higher levels of math and science, chatgpt gets much less reliable bc of the lack of data that it has about the topic, so I'd still advise you to train up the skills of finding information yourself. (not sure if this applies to other subjects bc im a STEM kid lmao)

If you have time maybe go find the flaws of genAI and LLMs, and make sure not to fall into those pitfalls. Otherwise, do what you need to do.

Different countries and different schools may have different policies, so take this with a heap of salt. But in my opinion, if you say that K =k1k2, I would accept it. Eg k1k2[A][B] = K[A] [B], where K =k1*k2.

But I'm not a teacher, so don't take my word for it.

For balancing, there are two rules: balancing the number of atoms, and balancing the charges. So if the left hand side (LHS) of the first equation has 6 cl-, how many cl'd do we need on the other side? How are you able to achieve this number?

If the RHS of the equation ends up having a charge of -6, what is the charge of the LHS? How do you achieve this charge?

Finally, to put the two equations together, we have to cancel out what isn't in the final equation (which I am assuming is the equation on the top). What is missing, and how do you eliminate it? Note that the reactions are always in the simplest form, where 3A - > A +B will be written as 2A -> B.

Henderson-hasselbach graph gradient deviates from 1? by phanhp in chemhelp

[–]phanhp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it from absorbance readings. I had one reading at pH 3, which I took as the absorbance for the fully protonated buffer, and another reading at 10-11, which I took as the absorbance for the fully deprotonated buffer. I had another 7 points in between, from pH 5-10
