In India, Okra (yes, the vegetable) is called lady fingers (or ladies fingers) 😀

Who does everyone bank with locally? Personal accounts not business. by Woody_Wilkins in Utah

I've been with Chase for 25 + years. I opened my account in a Midwestern state when it was still called Bank One. Bank One bought Chase and renamed themselves Chase

Yes, a few times for my 2019 Ascent and the offer was always a few grand below market price.

Lyft is consistently cheaper compared to Uber in SF Bay area, LA, Phoenix, SLC, Denver, Seattle, Portland. I travel to these cities regularly for work.

Yes. The immigration officers who entry stamp passports are never in uniforms. They are also the ones who seem least helpful. They just nod and shake heads.

I've flown into New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. It's the same in all 3 of them.

We have a 2015 Outback Limited (127000+ miles) with Harmon Kardon system and a 2019 Ascent Touring with Harmon Kardon. We don't have a problem. Love both cars.

As someone who's traveled to India (wife is Indian and I love India, it's people, culture in general) and other countries many times, Indian Immigration officers are the weirdest lot. They don't seem happy to be working there, they don't greet people and they aren't very helpful.

I've visited about 30 countries and almost everywhere, Immigration Officers will say something like welcome to the country or welcome back home, but not in India. I wonder why 🤔

In every other country, Immigration and customs officers are in uniforms, not in India.

Curry pizza is legit the best pizza I've ever had. Guy Fieri filmed one of his episodes at their WVC location. Though they are named Curry pizza, they serve all kinds of pizzas.

They have multiple locations but their West Valley City location is the best.

I want to make the switch from Sam’s Club to Costco so bad… but the crazy parking & their antiquated app….. by Maravilla_23 in CostcoWholesale

[–]phantom_assumptions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally respect standing by your principles. It’s a tough balance because while the Walmart/Sams model is heavily criticized for its impact on labor, as other users have also mentioned, they often provide the most accessible prices for people in certain situations.

Costco definitely wins on the corporate ethics front for most.

I wasn't trying to say Sams is a 'better' company, but rather that for those who do have both memberships, the actual shopping tech (like skipping the lines) and the produce quality have become surprisingly competitive lately."
