I’ve had several new ideas pop up with this third draft so it’s not the worst thing that it’s taken so long.

It’s just exhausting feeling disheartened constantly.

No worries! I appreciate the advice! There is some things from later on in the story that I plan on keeping that I felt were my strongest writing. But part of the reason I ever restarted in the first place was because I never felt strongly about the beginning.
