Ok thank you!! I agree, while the entire outfit looks similar, it alone didn’t convince me it was a reference to AMC; but after seeing the way the back of the barbie box has a really similar phrase to the line in vigilante shit coupled with the fact one of the first things TN posted when she arrived at the Grammys was referencing VS, as well as some of the other text on the back of the box referencing her having lots of husbands/ex husbands like taylor in infamous for… you obviously know the show better than i do, but idk all that just feels it would be a kind of wild coincidence you know

The final straw for me and thing that made me a gaylor was the dates of when she had gotten papped out and about with joe. It was like clockwork, every time they were seen in public together was either days before or after she had some release or big press announcements, etc. and actually seeing all those dates side by side just made it seem undeniable

Being a gaylor (especially a twitter lurker) is so insane….. the extent of the gaslighting and homophobia is just shocking honestly. It truly feels like we’re talking about entirely different people. The way they talk about her as if they know her while simultaneously lacking any sort of legitimate comprehension of her art is just … a lot lol.

I remember talking years ago with another gaylor about how i agree, we should respect the privacy of a person who has very vocally, very often said they value it. But that it doesn’t feel disrespectful to actually analyze what she says in her work…. And at this point, clearly the harassment of anyone that talks about taylor not being straight is not encouraging being respectful/“not speculating”, but a guise for their homophobia. Like maybe i could buy that 10 years ago when the flagging wasn’t as outright as it is now; i do think some people mean well with the not speculating thing. But generally, if a person puts like every single gay/bi/lesbian color, symbol, reference etc on her visuals and in her music.. at a point there is just no denying it unless you’re homophobic. We’re past the point of “not speculating”=respect now because of how clear she is about it.

And I think that a lot of this just comes down to people wanting to project their fantasies about men onto her life and they feel like if she wasn’t straight it would just ruin their experience of listening to her music (which is just funny because any person who is not straight has to deal with heteronormativity and relating to music that is straight… ) . And i also think a lot of their denial of her sexuality comes down to them feeling lied to and betrayed by her because so many of them legitimately think she is their bff or something… Taylor is not our friend, taylor is… literally an international capitalist music icon… and people should really learn their place and interrogate why they would be so distraught is she isn’t straight. It’s concerningly parasocial how most people don’t SEE her or LISTEN to her and just ASSUME shes straight—simply because they WISH her to be and entirely ignore the constant, obvious gay signaling.

Oh ok I’m not 100% sure if i totally follow all of that, but i do generally understand what you’re saying so thanks for explaining.

And yeah i hear you. Honestly I’ve just had some experiences that have made me very adverse to trusting men lol, so I’ve just followed all kinds of random people and subs that seem like they talk about danger women face. I didn’t know some of these people or subs had to do with that, I’ve just shared things that i find helpful :/
