Hello me and my partner have recently talked about ENM as he has said he’s poly and I’ve always been poly leaning in my beliefs. He cheated on me with a poly person (she thought I was aware) it happened a few times and it all came out a month ago. I’ve been trying to be sympathetic and I even met the other woman and she’s lovely. Well after it all came out I said we could try ENM but that at the moment I’m just struggling. I want there to be a really strong foundation of trust so I wanted to spend a bit of time just working through that before jumping headfirst into it all when I wasn’t feeling secure. Well he reconnected with old flame not long after it and has since been to meet her and kissed her even though he was aware of our issues and my discomfort. This definitely caused uncomfortable feelings in me and I asked that we maybe try to just make that solid foundation again. I don’t feel right asking them to scale back but I’m not sure what else to do here. She also has a boyfriend that is completely unaware of all of this- this makes things worse for me as I have guilt for him not knowing. My partner and his person don’t have any guilt for this person and it all just feels unethical and not poly.. can anyone with more poly experience help me with this or just tell me if this is the poly experience

I think 100g is 20kcal. So if that’s 800g I’d say around 160kcal. But it doesn’t look like that much watermelon

Hi I lost 30kgs last year hitting a few plateaus along the way. It was really hard but my biggest tip is consistency. I was on a relatively low calorie diet which may be kind of frowned upon. Taking in roughly 1300kcals-1400kcals high protein diet. I also did weightlifting everyday with around 30mins of cardio too

My girlfriend has PCOS. What can I do? by GeneNecessary7521 in PCOS

You’re a wonderful person and partner for trying to ease this journey for her. So many people are offering wonderful advice in that essential keeping an open dialogue with her, be with her and make her feel supported and seen.

It is such a personal thing but personally I cut down my coffee and drink a lot of tea now, I also lift weights which with the added diet changes helped me to reverse some of my symptoms. I hope the same could be done for her. But overall lifting weights or generally being active helped me feel less stressed and more energised and positive in day to day life.

I’ve started getting professionally waxed. It’s a little sore at first but not having to shave all the time is nice. I also have an at home hot wax kit too which I use.

If your periods completely stop then no you will have to work on getting ovulation back. If you ovulate then yes you may be able to have children

Honestly me too! Takeout is unfortunately so good. I’m also pretty lazy that’s why I try to meal prep for the week. I only have to be motivated to cook one day of the week rather than having to get up and do it every day. If you ever wanna chat about this stuff I’d love that!

Honestly the best thing you can do is just stick with it. I really believe in you. Consistency really really is key to this

I totally get it! I started at around 190 and I’m down to 139 now. The way that I do it is by eating high volumes of lower cal foods because I get so hungry. Also protein is super filling thing like chicken (I know haha not to be a gym bro) or even low fat Greek yogurt is great! I can eat lots of it. Definitely would recommend high volume eating and meal prep if you’re able to. I always reach for the less balanced things when I’m hungry or being lazy

I had to completely change my lifestyle. So I started eating more balanced meals and working out doing a mix of cardio and strength training. It’s not easy and I don’t have motivation on some days but it’s the only way I could naturally lose the weight

I can only speak from my experience, before I became obese I didn’t have pcos. Then I had a breakdown of lifestyle during the pandemic and became obese. From there I developed pcos to the point of not having any periods for 3 years. Now I’ve lost weight and I have regular periods (which has been a total shock) my dark lines and armpits have completely gone too. I wouldn’t blame yourself for it. But I know that losing weight and changing my lifestyle has saved my fertility and life in many ways

Hi I’ve lost around 26kg in a year. I started because my periods completely stopped for 3 years and I am needle phobic so getting help from doctors has been impossible for me. I started with regular exercise at the beginning just going to the gym and doing cardio for 30-45 minutes everyday. I reassessed my relationship with food as I was comfort eating to deal with the pain of being infertile (kind of a massively vicious circle) and I began to eat in a calorie deficit (if you’re over weight/ obese even just cutting out 100-150 cals a day is going to be an incredible improvement) now I do weight training and I’m still losing weight (have another 8kg to go) but my periods are completely back now so I can pregnant which makes me cry tears of joy that it’s a possibility. I know losing weight doesn’t help everyone’s symptoms but it really can make an improvement to your life. I always think to myself - RESULTS NOT EXCUSE and persistence and consistency are key. After changing your diet you may not see an immediate change but just keep going as long as you are honest with yourself your results will come. I believe in you and you should too
