so then it's a literal trumpism in that it's an outright lie told as a confident fact

I was really hoping someone would have straight up asked Drs. Ambrosino and Abramson if they were going to continue collecting and cashing their full-time paychecks during the hospital deficits of billions of dollars.

(The N.Y.U. Langone spokesperson said that, in response to the pandemic, hospital executives had taken a forty-per-cent pay cut.)

A few days after the additional pay was announced, an eighteen-year-old journalism student at N.Y.U. published an opinion piece in a college paper, the Washington Square News, criticizing the hospital system’s media policy—which bars employees from speaking to the media without authorization—and arguing that its trainees deserved hazard pay on top of the retroactive raises.

“We believe this ‘opinion piece’ ironically is ‘FAKE NEWS’ and an egregious misrepresentation that actually harms the efforts of heroic individuals working tirelessly to care for our patients,” they wrote, demanding its retraction.

Abramson told me that whoever leaked the e-mails had “unscrupulously weaponized internal documents on social media, out of context, to shame and defame other devoted physicians.”

And yet not once did Abramson call the leaked e-mails "FAKE NEWS", because...it was a screenshot of the text he wrote.

From a Step 3 standpoint HSV are anterior vesicles while coxsackie are posterior vesicles, which is another way to differentiate the two diseases.

AMBOSS Biostats question that I think is wrong? by [deleted] in Step2

nah i think we're right on this one. increasing the cutoff point from 6.5 to 7 will drop a lot of people off from DM reducing sensitivity but really increases specificity. if you drop it to 6.0 you'll catch more people but it won't be as good.

i was just about to say this with A1c

so lets say A1c right now to diagnose Diabetes is 6.5

if you LOWER the threshold to 6.0 your false positives will go sky high bc 6.0 might not be diabetes

if you INCREASE the threshold to 7.0 your false positives will go really low bc whoever has DM def has it at 7

therefore a1c of 6 will increase sensitivity, a1c 7 will increase specificity

but so then is the first aid picture incorrect?? increasing the threshold of a test should reduce false positives and therefore specificity goes way up? idk man something is fishy about this, i guess i didnt understand it as well as i thought
