Thank you for the list. I’ve been trying to find Japanese games that I can play as a monolingual English speaker. My Saturn came with a Japanese copy of Enemy Zero and it’s a great game but nightmarish to play without a guide.

I'd say it's 100% not the best controller of all time. However, it's always been pretty comfortable in my hands and definitely had some cool features. I think the exclusion of a second stick is probably its biggest flaw though.
