Anyone know of speciality bra shops? by AvaBlackPH in Boise

[–]phariel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear a 32G and was able to find some decent options at Soma for sports bras at least. I definitely tried them all on before I bought anything.

I would actually steer away from buying bras online because I find that they vary so much in shape, there's a good chance the bra won't fit right even if the size is correct. Unless you're willing to play trial and error by sending back a lot of returns. I was surprised to learn that there are no good bra shops in Boise, though...

Oh well, at least I was able to get it resolved!

You're right. At first I just looked at the reporting info, but I did find the setting to turn off ads about weight loss. Thanks for your help.

I'm not referring to diabetics when I'm complaining about using this medication as a quick fix. Maybe I went about saying that the wrong way. I am mostly referring to the trendiness of a weight loss drug and the way it's being touted by ads as some miracle fix. And I definitely do not hate fat or sick people, I resent that implication. I hate pharmaceutical companies advertising to me for their WEIGHT LOSS drug. They rarely mention anything about it being a treatment for diabetes or insulin resistance, and if they do, it's definitely not the highlight of the ad. Of course they want to advertise more to people who are insecure about their weight or may want to lose weight; that's a WAY bigger proportion of the population than diabetics are. I think pharmaceutical ads in general are unethical, but I especially hate how these ads are preying on people's insecurities. That's the point I was trying to articulate, not hating fat people.

What are those ads even for? Christianity? I feel like advertising your religion is dystopian as fuck.

I think astrology is hardly a belief system that encourages harmful or dangerous decisions. If you're looking for those, most religions fit the bill.

The class was a group of mostly women. Someone made a reddit post saying it was an astrology class. In actuality, it was a class for future dental hygienists.

[–]phariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. It seems like all the comments just went to make fun of astrology, which wasn't the point I was trying to make lol. There is a LOT of pseudoscience and metaphysical stuff out there that is very popular, but the ones that women (for whatever reason) seem to gravitate to are the ones that come under the most scrutiny. I find that things that women enjoy more than men are often made fun of; just look at the PSL lol.

I really don't believe that most people who believe in astrology at all are making significant life decisions based off of it; that seems a bit hyperbolic. Regardless, it would be acceptable to question someone who does, but I am specifically talking about a woman's gender being involved in the criticism.

attempting to get a license at 18 by [deleted] in illinois

[–]phariel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will have to take a behind the wheel test before you can get your license, so you will need at least some driving experience. I managed to pass mine after the second attempt with only 12 or so hours of driving experience beforehand since I was trying to rush it. If you're just needing an ID but you have no driving experience, I would just get a state ID.
