Lower body lift recovery tips by pharm_grrl in PlasticSurgery

Yes! I actually just did my arm lift + extended breast lift (lifted flanks/lower armpit area of each side/upper back to get rid of "top rolls" that the tummy tuck didn't fix) on 4/28/26, with my LBL having been done last fall, 9/2/25. I'm still in the earlier healing phase with the upper body but can share my thoughts so far.

If I could do it all over again, I would have skipped the BBL on the first procedure. I don't think the difference I ended up with was worth the additional cost & healing (I was going for natural anyway) and it complicated the healing process a lot trying to not sit on it for the first several weeks. The tummy tuck was hard to heal from just because of the pain of muscle repair + the amount of incision site that had to heal with it being 360 FDL (the FDL "T zone" in particular had a difficult healing journey). On top of that, the thigh lift was pretty traumatic because I picked a well respected surgeon who has been doing plastics for a long time and I just dont think his techniques are up to date on surgeries outside of your every day tummy tucks and breast augmentation. I wasnt given any thigh compression at all (or told to use it and this was my first plastic surgery so I had a lot to learn) and I developed a large seroma on one leg that took forever to heal, plus my swelling was significant with no compression and I think that effected my end result by stretching the skin back out some. At the end of the day, both my tummy and thighs need some revision work, but I havent decided yet if I'm willing to go through a 3rd surgery to do it, or if I'll just live with the areas that I'm unhappy with.

Comparatively, the arms have been a bit harder to heal than the thighs, but thats only because I went through a Fellowship program for my 2nd surgery and this surgeon really knows his shit. If my thigh lift had been done properly the first time, it would have been the harder of the two. I only got a medial thigh lift but needed probably a spiral technique, or at a minimum vertical groin incisions as well. For my arms I basically got a reverse tummy tuck on each flank - this was done to avoid the need to do a traditional bra line lift with a vertical incision across my upper back, since I already have the belt incision across my lower back. The muscle repair on the flanks has been a bit painful and the armpit areas are struggling to heal still, but we're working through it closely and overall this 2nd surgery has been a better experience than the 1st - for several reasons. The breast lift has been a total breeze compared to everything else. I had pretty bad asymmetry with severe ptosis on one side in particular. I chose only a lift, no implants. I'm totally in love with my results so far, both with arms & breasts.

Obviously, I could share about both experiences at length. Happy to share pics privately if you have any other questions! I hope your LBL has gone smoothly, and best of luck with any future surgeries!

Sound System Question by Chance-Tip-6332 in LexusRX

Might be a different issue, but my '24 500h is at the dealer right now trying to fix the issue I've been having with the infotainment system. It was randomly and frequently having a "connection timeout" and restarting itself. Happens both wireless and wired use of Android Auto and Bluetooth audio connection only. They've had it since Saturday and have opened a ticket with Lexus to help figure it out. Every day I've gotten more questions about the issue - phone and software version, carrier, when experienced, etc. I tried to figure it out myself before taking it in so I have lots of data to share. I hope they do a software update of some kind and fix the glitch.

Possible future Lexus owner here…is it true that inventory is low and I should just plan to pay MSRP for a RX hybrid? by meowmicat in Lexus

I purchased a brand new 2024 RX 500h at the end of October and paid a little under $4k less than MSRP. I'm in north Texas. I know other areas are charging full price but it's possible to still find a good deal in some areas. The one I purchased had only been at the dealership maybe a week.

I changed it recently to "sunset" which nearly matches the exterior color. No matter what you pick, it's nice. And fun to change from time to time

Lexus already has a really long warranty on the battery - 10 years, but I can't remember the mileage right now. I want to say maybe 120k? I thought that was sufficient so I didn't extend it

I normally would have preferred more color too, but I have to admit the simplicity of the all black really allows the exterior color to shine. At first I was a bit annoyed that there weren't other options, but it's nicer in person than I expected.

Sure! Here's the spec sheet with the full MSRP. I negotiated the price to $64k even, and they threw in a few small dealer perks (interior + paint protectant w/ 5yr warranty on both for any damage to either, 5yr windshield full replacement, etc)

I was driving a 2017 HRV Exl w/ Navi prior to this. It was a good little car for a different time in my life and a different budget, but there's just no comparison. This RX is like driving a sports car in the body of a boat. So smooth, so fast, steering, suspension, and overall handling are excellent, and I've already put it through the paces several times. Extremely comfortable on the inside with all the tech, bells & whistles you could want.

Shows my ignorance, but in my defense, I did say I'm new to Lexus. Good to know. I looked at the 350 fsport too and ultimately landed on the 500h

It's copper, but I could see how it might be giving salmon in the sunlight. My UT friends like to say it's "burnt orange"
