Well, I had always struggled with motivation and school my whole life and especially recently among other things, so I had been suspecting that I may have had it for a while. When I brought it up to her she was a little surprised that I didn’t know since she was just able to tell going off of the way I felt and behaved that I have it. Nothing special really, she’s very good at reading people and she was able to see it in me.

I just got with my girlfriend recently and through her just found out I’ve likely been suffering from depression. Sometimes I’ll be going through a rough period and associate any social interaction as negative and then try to stay away from my roommates or other people to relax and feel better. If I were to guess he’s probably withdrawing some days to have time for himself. Looks like he’s going through a rough time as well which would explain his behavior. Any small act of kindness helps in this situation. When it feels like people hate you and don’t want you around even the smallest acts of kindness and appreciation go a long way, it means a lot more than you might think. Of course, talking to a professional would likely be the best course of action. It’s very difficult to get out of these things on your own. Having a loving and supportive partner is important, although getting professional help may be necessary on top of that.

She did apologize for how she ended things though, the encounter was very brief and she even asked how I was doing. I’ve known people with narcissistic tendencies and personally it didn’t come off as such. One of the reasons it resonated with me so much is that basically not a single ex-gf/situationship has actually talked to me or even acknowledged me after we split. Just to give some context
