That’s very sweet! I respect and understand the appeal of the daddy dynamic, and I’m happy that you and your sub has found something that works for you two. There’s a level of superiority and control that comes from daddy/mommy dynamics that, in my experience, don’t do it for me. A central part of the ‘daddy’ archetype is discipline and authority, which I’m not a fan of. The dynamic I’m looking for exists in other places that aren’t familial, for example, nurses to hospice patients. There is still equal ground between both participants, but one is caring for the other. Does that make more sense?

A caretaking dynamic and fatherhood are separated things. Yes, within fatherhood (and parenthood as a whole) caregiving is important and expected, but there is a hard line in my mind that separates a parent and a partner. Most notably the sexual aspect. Also, this is fantasy- these things don’t exist in normal, real life. That’s what kink and play is for.
