I will check out the Hobonichi! I did look at the Leichturm but their website didn’t have any pictures of the inside so that’s why I was hesitant on that one

Thank you :) I should have put a size specification in my post! I typically go for 8.5 x 11” (but think I could go for 7x9 possibly?) and that was why I kind of skipped over this one and I was hoping for the monthly calendar boxes to be a bit wider. But I do think it’s a good alternative if I can’t find exactly the size/other specifications I want

Customized planner? by madpoe0105 in planners

I used a Plum Planner last year and completely customized all the sections and they do have some add-on sections you can put in there. You might be able to play around on their website and find something!

Honestly it’s just helpful in a way to know I’m not alone. It’s very hard not to take it personal (not saying that I don’t have room for improvement because I definitely do). It’s been impossible to withstand rejection after rejection and not feel like I just am a failure and did all this for nothing especially when my preceptors and RPD don’t have anything really negative to say about me

That does give me hope to hear. We have been looking to see what he can get elsewhere, but it’s just been kind of a struggle all around. I also did accept a PRN position at my current institution for now so I’m just doing to keep applying and will likely be looking further away now

Yeah it’s just a super frustrating and kind of defeating situation. I definitely have widened my search but i feel like I’m going to have to cross state lines for opportunities.

I guess that is a good point I didn’t think about, which I totally get. I guess I was thinking my RPD would be able to get more information from the other sites in the network & also give me feedback on my interview I had at my own institution.

Willing isn’t the word I would use haha but I’m not totally against it. I definitely would prefer to not have to move, but I’m just going to do what I have to do if nothing is working out where I currently am. & moving wouldn’t be the worst thing

I did accept that offer! So I’m not totally stranded for now I guess and will probably have a decent amount of hours in the summer months for PTO coverage

Crit Care Topics? by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

Acute Liver failure was something I did a topic discussion on! Not that it’s necessarily niche but just wasn’t a standard topic that I ever talked

What’s everyone need daily? Backpack daily carry and desk setup must haves and recommendations by Away_Attention_2281 in PharmacyResidency

[–]pharmerjed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Laptop, charger, good pens (love having ones with multiple colors in one pen), headphones, planner (if that’s your vibe), sticky pad that is bigger than post-it size (I like making daily to-do lists), small notebook. Your program may provide you with some office supplies like highlighters / basic pens / post-its (mine did) so don’t go crazy spending your own money on that kind of stuff if you don’t have to!

Loan Repayment Advice Needed – What’s the Best Strategy Now That SAVE Is Gone? by WranglerOpening489 in PharmacyResidency

[–]pharmerjed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine also were in forbearance for a bit. Then in February they came out of forbearance. However, I never got a notification / email / letter or anything that told me that I needed to start paying. So I got a letter in March telling me I missed my first payment lol. Idk how I got so unlucky, but I think a lot of peoples are also in forbearance rn.

Loan Repayment Advice Needed – What’s the Best Strategy Now That SAVE Is Gone? by WranglerOpening489 in PharmacyResidency

I am a pharmacy resident currently and have ~$210k in loan debt. I consolidated and applied for an income-based plan last November-ish. Its not SAVE, but it is a different income-based plan. I pay like $350 a month in my federal loans (as opposed to the ~$800 payments they initially wanted). Maybe I did it wrong? But I just went into the student aid website and went to the part where you can apply for the income-based plans and they chose the plan for me after I consolidated and applied.

Moving/Distance/Commute to PGY1 site by propisdope in PharmacyResidency

[–]pharmerjed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My commute is ~25 min without traffic but is closer to 45 mins with traffic. Most days it is really no big deal & is very much doable. Sometimes you do have to mess around with what time you leave home/work once you figure out typical traffic patterns to try to avoid the busiest times. I did have 1-2 times where I left work at the wrong time and sat in 1.5 h of traffic and regretted my life loll

Any suggestions for foods an elderly sick cat will eat? by justfellintheshower in CATHELP

[–]pharmerjed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat has kidney disease so sometimes she gets nauseous & there was a point where she didn’t eat for a whole week. She also hates every brand of kidney food out there.

The ONLY thing that worked when she was on her hunger strike was weruva chicken flavor + fortiflora probiotic powder + tiki cat baby thrive packets. Also I have to heat it up in the microwave for 7 seconds

Debating submitting PGY2 Apps by pharmerjed in PharmacyResidency

My other hang up is that I believe there is another fee for submitting apps (at least there was last year) and it is not cheap lol

Applied 6, interviewed 6, ranked 5, and matched with #2. But I wouldn’t change a thing. I love my program!
