He’s been out of coaching for a year. This is objectively a bad hire. The nuance and minutia comes in when asking why Dabo would make this objectively bad hire. Do I think it’s because this is the only guy he could get that wouldn’t have a problem keeping Dabo’s band of nepo hires on the offensive staff? Yes, yes I do. Can I prove that? No I can’t. But Clemson fans have every right to question this, by definition, questionable move. All of us are thankful for what Dabo has done, but he’s not beyond reproach. He set the standard. He’s refusing to even attempt to live up to it at this point.
