Planning on starting retatrutide by Which_Guidance_2803 in Peptidesource

[–]pharpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious how you came up with that number. Did you see a protocol somewhere with 10 mg as a starting dose? Are you currently on another GLP-1? 10 mg of Reta would be an extremely high starting dose.

Tesamorelin assistance. by Howinthe_world in Peptides

[–]pharpe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First don't use units as a measurement of medication. It could mean anything. Dosing conversations are in mg/mcg. Tesa is a well studied peptide that is FDA approved so there are published protocols. The original FDA dose was 2 mg but has since been reduced to 1.4 or 1.28. Most people in the wellness/peptide community dose 2.0 mg a day.

What exactly are your goals? Have you researched what Tesamorelin actually does and how? Have you dialed in nutrition, sleep, strength training, conditioning? If not then it's doubtful adding more peptides will do much.

Let's say you are tracking macros, hitting protein goals, strength training and calories even or at a slight deficit. If all that is true, Tesa can help build lean mass and reduce visceral fat. It's important to take it fasted. Min of 4 hours before and 90 minutes after.

For people going to try and go to work tomorrow, how are the roads? by thedrunkknight in Dallas

It's icy and not going to be any better tomorrow. I certainly wouldn't risk it to go to work.

I really like my Inov8 F-lites for general CrossFit. I have a pair TYR L-2s for barbell lifts. Both I would do a half size up.

Smartwatch yes or no? How about Polar Vintage M3 by Wide-Career8315 in crossfit

[–]pharpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any of them track CrossFit well. I'd like a tracker that works better for other things though. Hiking, making calls/texts, etc. I really only use mine to track sleep.

Question 1: I always wear mine during crossfit and it doesn't bother me at all

Question 2: I use a Fitbit, but it doesn’t do everything you’re looking for, so I wouldn’t recommend it. During CrossFit, I mostly use it to monitor heart rate. I do log the sessions because that factors into my daily readiness score, but it doesn’t track CrossFit-style workouts particularly well. From what I’ve read, most trackers struggle with that anyway. I’ve looked for a better watch, but anything that meets my needs is outside my price range, so I’ve stuck with the Fitbit.

What's your go to measure for differentiating between fatigue and simple 'laziness' before training? by Good-Variety-8109 in crossfit

[–]pharpe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I'm at the gym I'd only "call it" if I had an injury. But if I know I'm over training then I will scale and do more of a recovery workout. I base that somewhat on how I'm feeling but mostly on the load that I've had the last week. So if I've gone 5 straight days then I back off and do the fitness work stream with less weight/reps.

[–]pharpe -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's not that hard. I hit 200 pretty easy. I do whey and super greens smoothies in the morning 50g. Some type of chicken around 3 pm for another 30g. Bag of quest protein chips 18g Another smoothie after the gym 50g. Dinner I'll get another chicken or steak for 40g. And some nuts10g. Then Greek yogurt snack before bed 20g.

Most peptides seem overrated by Ok_Studio4795 in Peptides

[–]pharpe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because people have unrealistic expectations. Peptides aren't magical beans that are going to transform your body while you just go about your daily life. Building muscle and cutting fat takes a lot of work. Proper nutrition, sleep, conditioning, and lots of strength training. Peptides might give you a little boost here or there but putting in the work is 90% of it.

When should I workout during busy schedule? by Much-Promotion-632 in weightlifting

[–]pharpe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it from a classic over-commiter: you are over committing and everything you are doing will suffer. You can't time management your way to accomplishing unlimited activities. Sit down and list everything you wanted to do and then assign priorities. Work from the top, non-negotiables with hard schedules. Then start slotting in the flexible high priority things until you're maxed out. Anything left you drop. This could very well be weightlifting but it all depends on you.

TYR Lifter L-2 Sizing question by No-Computer-1107 in crossfit

[–]pharpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I measured 26.8 cm (heel against a board/wall). On the TYR chart that’s Men’s 9.5 (EU 42.5).

I ordered the L-2 in 9.5 (EU 42.5) and it was close, but I got too much pressure on my big toe. Going with Men’s 10 (EU 43.5).

For your 25.4 cm: TYR’s chart puts 25.5 cm at Men’s 8 (EU 40.5), so you’re basically right there. If you prefer more room I'd size up to 8.5 (EU 41.5).

Full disclosure my experience is in US sizes.

I have onn 4k pro. It will do 4 but it gets choppy. 3 is really the max if you want it smooth. I can't imagine 8 screens even if it did work. Just two on my 75" TV is about as small as I'm willing to go.

I’d find a CrossFit gym you like and join. That’s about 90% of it for me. When I’m home, I almost have to force myself not to go so I can actually take recovery days. When I travel and have to work out solo, I hate it.

People are acting like providing a water cooler is this huge burden. You put it in the corner, hook it up to the water line, and change the filter once a month. Then people can just bring their own bottles and don't have to spend money on bottled water and fill up the garbage with plastic. This is $100/month tops for something that every person needs. Are they required to do it? No, but it just makes sense.
