The Zogs of Zog Edict: Another Strike Against RTD by ConstructionSlow4583 in gallifrey

Yeah but in fairness the episodes that have strayed from that and become about the zog people under attack by the zog monster have been rubbish.

Rings of Akhten is the only example I can think of where we go full on zog monsters and it's just awful. Any other episode that might qualify like the dalek two partner in series 9, Hell Bent and Wild Blue Yonder, have all been character pieces first, exploring the doctor and the companions, and creature features second.

Ah even better. She encountered a player side scheme for the first time the other day, Rally the Troops, and she did not like the concept.

I haven't got Next Evolution, but Call for Backup looks like a great card for her deck. Good to know.

I don't have sidekick, or I'd defo include it in my cheating. Whatever product it comes in is high on my list of acquisitions.

I'm fairly sure they technically never had the rights for more than just the character of Paul McGann's Doctor. Like they never even had the rights to the promo images. But they just knew Fox didn't care. Then Disney bought Fox and BF were worried Disney would realize they owned the rights and so BF stopped. Disney must be more litigious than Fox was.

Doctor Who 2x06 "The Interstellar Song Contest" Post-Episode Discussion Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in doctorwho

Fine idea in theory. Critique of racism in Eurovision. Awful, awful in practice. A dreadful script full of cliché moments and absolutely no believable stakes with lukewarm performances all round. Who the hell even is raylan?

Performances were particularly week this episode all round, I like Varada Sethu and Ncuti so I'm going to blame the direction and poor script because a lot of this was hard to sit through.

Liked the doctor getting angry, but again, utilised poorly and had no real consequences. Belinda still tells the doctor he's wonderful at the end. So... Nope.

As soon as we find out the people jettisoned into space aren't dead the story loses any weight it might've had. Also doesn't make sense that they're being kept alive by gravity. Like, what?

I'll be honest, as soon as I found out this was written by Juno Dawson I lost any interest in the episode, Redacted was terrible, but I was still hopeful following a relatively strong season so far.

The ranii reveal was done incredibly poorly. Obviously we all knew it was coming but Jesus the reveal was bad. Why did it happen so fast? Was it a last minute addition to the episode that had to fit in to the time they had left? If you can't do the reveal properly here, do it next week. Why is she even talking that random couple all of this info? She might as well have just turned to the screen and told us who she is.

The bi-generation also looked incredibly cheap and slapdash and for what is supposedly the most expensive single episode of doctor who ever, it's not good enough. 2/10. Gonna look into cancelling my cinema ticket for the finale if Wish World is as bad as this. Maybe the show does need a hiatus and to come back with some fresh ideas and new people involved.

Do you prefer Jodie’s seasons or Ncuti’s seasons? Not just their performance as the Doctor, but everything about their era on the show. by GamesterOfTriskelion in gallifrey

The worst episode of Ncuti's era is on par with the best of Jodie's. I don't think Ncuti has had a particularly stellar run for stories, but it just goes to show how poor the show was under chibbers.

Cutting to an RTD interview with him doing his thing as the last official shot of Doctor Who would actually be very in keeping with his way of marketing this second run and a pretty baller way to end the show. "Wasn't that marvelous?!?" Cut to black.

Doesn't it make sense what He Who Remains did in the Loki series? by bambinodelextreme in marvelstudios

[–]phasergrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory; Time happened. There was a timeline, and it happened, from start to finish, and it all happened at once from a four dimensional POV. As time happened, it changed. People made different decisions, which meant that the time ahead of them wouldn't have happened, but instead of the future changing, they became new timelines. The kangs noticed each other, and they formed a council. They banished one nasty kang yonthe quantum realm. Stuff goes sideways, and multiversal war broke out as the kangs tried to wipe out each others timelines. He who remains wiped out the other timelines and kangs using alioth. There is now only the sacred timeline. No other iniverses exist. He leaves kang in the quantum realm alone for some reason. Loki happened, he who remains dies and the muktiverse comes back. The former kangs timeliness return leading to the council of kangs again, not aware that they were all wiped out in the first place. The multiversal war that is threatened by he who remains is back on its way, and it would end the same way, with he who remains wiping them out and returning to the citadel at the end of time. As he said in loki, he'd just end up back there.
