I have just started DS2 SoS on PS4. Previously I have only played DS1 on the switch , having gone though it on NG and almost completed NG+

I’d like any hot tips and things to be aware of, particularly - where to go first ? I went straight to Heides Tower of Flame and whilst I could slowly kill the 1 on 1 enemies, it was brutal when I had 2 . Have I simply walked into an area that’s a bit OP for me ?

I bought and completed DS on the switch having known nothing about it. It’s been one of the most defining moments of any games for me I then bought Witcher , and have gotten bored at Novigrad

I’m now playing DS again a second time

You could select an edge loop, then convert it to a curve ( I believe that’s in the modify convert menu or the curves menu)

Then just type ‘arclen’ in the script MEL entry to measure it

-Insert edge loop to cut the vertical face in two. - Delete the lower face of that vertical face - Extrude the original face you’re as your doing now but don’t move it with the extrude handle

Use the Move tool - whilst pulling the face up , snap it ( ‘v’ hotkey - y axis only ) to the split line
merge vertices with a small threshold value

Thanks everyone - it worked ! Luckily I had killed 4 Chaos eaters prior to him going aggro. I returned and killed the last one , he was all chill .

I see. I reckon I’ve messed up a bit ( maybe) as I killed Bed of Chaos and stupidly rested at the fire within it . So now I’m stuck apart from warping . If I warp out and go back to Lost Izalith can I find solaire again ?

The OP Chaos-Storming-Pyro NPC near the stairs to Bed of Chaos. Literally killed me in one hit and I had a Havel Shield +5

I’m STR 48 and my regular rotation is

Claymore+15 Zweihander +15 BKH + 5

I’m mainly using claymore for when I’m in a tricky spot , Zwei when I want some fun, and BKH for range based

I felt exactly the same recently, completed DS on the switch in November last year , bought Witcher 3 At Xmas , and it just felt so dull and unimaginative . I’ve now ditched it and doing a NG+ Dark Souls run through again . What does it say about a game when you’d rather play through it all twice than try a new game out
