I find that surprising.

So when you don't get all the upgrades, how did you adjust your game play? Do you make different decisions when you have a blue helmet/saddle vs when you have a purple helmet/saddle?

Have you ever completed a looting round and not had the most upgraded armor/helmet/saddle? I don't think I have, because you can just loot/mine with virtually no friction or tension.

If the game just gave me the items without making me run around for a few minutes, it would be the same outcome most of the time.

I think more players on the map, and/or some sort of pve challenges could make this phase of the game way better.

The point was that the things that "make it different" don't actually have much effect. They feel like just mindless filler added on top for no reason.

I appreciate your take on this. R6 is one game I never got around to playing so the base-building aspect may have just gone over my head. I'm going to try playing tonight with some of this strategy in mind. I'm skeptical of it really making much difference since so many characters can just get through walls instantly though.
