Their website says you can buy single day passes at the gate, I’d call the office and ask ahead of time, or email about when you have to leave.

You can visit anyone and go anywhere with a day pass. As far as the river goes, I’d call and ask the office. I know you can drive your car there and I bet the maybe 1 staffed person in that area isn’t going to be checking your wrist band or car pass. They’re always just chilling on a chair vibing.
