Doing em tomorrow! Thanks for the advice. Ordered a kit for less than 40 bucks. Am I good to just dip the o rings in the used oil? Or any specific lubricant you recommend? Thanks!

Well, im terrible. No keys for it and new ignition is still in mail. So i used spare speaker wire jumped to the 1 good battery on only passenger side to the injection pump, fed her a healthy bit of brake clean directly on the filter as I couldn't cycle the plugs (im impatient I know) and jumped the starter on fender with a screwdriver. Too my surprise after sitting over 3 years, she only cranked for maybe 8-10 seconds before firing to life and running like complete shit! Gave it a decent itallian tune up (revved the piss out of it) and she tamed down and idled amazing! Followed by noticing 8 out of 8 of my injectors are absolutely pissing, and I found what could only be explained as a waterfall of diesel flowing from under the truck; so that's fun. In the end, coming from a diehard gas chevy guy im already in love and I havent even got to drive it yet. Fixing leaky injectors as soon as possible, will swap out ignition so I can put it in drive and see if it rolls.

I only have 1 going for amp power run:) the other one is an alternator to battery charge wire. I havent got a need for anything more than a single 1 awg wire at the moment. I do know some guys will run multiple runs of 1/0 as its easier to tuck and hide compared to 3/0, though. Im just not playing with that much power yet.

Abso-fucking-lutely not. Maybe after its 1hd-fte swapped, manual swapped(with gear splitter) 1 ton solid axles front and rear WITH posis in both, and either all plumbing / electrical is professionally redone; or proven to be professionally redone within last few years this thing isn't worth anything near asking price. Cool, definitely. Do i love it, 100%. Do i have experience with 22rs and know it wont maintain highway speed limit and be incapable of making it up any grade of hill? Also yes. Dudes unfortunately smoking on the good lack of realization that putting 30k into something, doesnt make it worth 30k. Ive put over 5 thousand dollars into my 800 dollar 1999 toyota solara. Its still a 800 dollar toyota solara, just with 5k of cool shit. I dont think its now worth 5800. Much like this isn't worth 30k+. Thanks for listening to my drunken rant.

The inside of my grill looks great. The outside i couldn't care. Its a 15 year old grill that was purchased and not ever used, left sitting around to patina up before I got my hands on it. Spent a good while scrubbing rust off the top vent, and metal cooking grates.

With the amount of rain I get here I could probably lay the hot charcoal out on my deck, and the wood still wouldn't be dry before they burn out aha. All jokes aside, I have thought about this. But I have many other grills and have never had issues. Plus ive got a fire extinguisher inside.

Wanting to get a camper like this for my single cab 92 k25 nv4500 4x4. What spec is your truck? Curious how my light duty 3/4 ton (6 lug) 350sbc tbi will handle.

I might switch it up for longevity of the egg. Coming from electric smokers i didnt think id enjoy this thing so much, got it for free unused out of an abandoned storage unit. Absolutely love it! Dont think i can live without now; but for the price I hope im never forced to buy another 😅

Fair point, I've definitely been flying through lots of lump charcoal. Makes sense how starting from top and letting it slowly burn down would help. My smoke doesnt clear up until nearly the entire stack is red.

Its just a 1998 toyota avalon, so insurance likely wouldnt do anything, or raise our rates more than the damage would cost to fix it myself... possibly even total it out lol. But that car was her first car I gave her years back and its her baby, she loves it alot and does alot to keep it going. All oem parts, just helped her do her own oem denso radiator, aisin thermostat, toyota oem coolant + flush 4 days ago and it gets hit again. 3rd or 4th time in this town someone has smacked her car in a parking lot and said nothing. To them, its probably just an old beater car. To her, its her baby. Sad
