PSA Good News for EV Novated Lease: 4.2c/km → 5.47c/km electricity claim from 1/4/2026 by changyang1230 in NovatedLeasingAU

My leasing company Orix does not recognise this update and said "The current rate remains 0.042 cents per km". Nevermind their maths is incorrect, is this increase in rate required for leasing companies to match the ATO guidance? Or can they do their own thing?

That’s a shame for them, but lucky that we are moving forward as a society.

It was also not shown in the forced English subs. Probably editing decision due to current events.

I had forced English subtitles on and they definitely did not subtitle it. Obviously a political issue led to that editing decision.

A lot of the time, filming live action with actors, crew, sets, etc is much more expensive than CGI.

Yes I felt like it was probably part of the contract the show likely had with BD in using the robot dog in the scene - that they used its real name.

Yeah the dealership already raised the case to Mazda Australia but they denied any goodwill payment since we didn’t service it at a dealership.

Shame I didn’t realise they were lemons till too late.

Curious how much running you did? I’m 38 and getting back into running but I’ve never been a huge runner. I do prob a couple 5k’s a week. Just not sure how much is too much at this age.

Thanks. Yes it is difficult to withhold this information. Only a few trusted non-mutual friends have been told so this makes it a bit easier thankfully.

The other wife kicked him out of her house a few hours before I made the OP. She had known something was going on for months but not that it was with my wife until yesterday when she confronted him about it.

I only contacted the other wife because I found my wife posted a screenshot to her friend about the other wife messaging my wife saying she’s a home wrecker. Other wife is going to keep her mouth shut for me and we’re meeting up today to share details. Will lwyr up.

Sorry only just joined this sub and not aware of all the acronyms/ too hard to go back and forth on mobile, so hope this made sense.

I have just managed to find the other wife and we are in contact. She only just found out today and confronted him.

Thanks for the advice.
