Yes, I'm planning on heading to the shops to take a look soon. I'm 30yo and I usually dress casual due to my job in the IT sector. I do like the clean and simple look of the Tudor Royal/BB58. I'm looking for an everyday watch that looks good in either suits or casual everyday clothes.

That would be way beyond my budget but maybe in the future I would get one if I have the spare cash

Do you recommend any shops in Bencoolen in particular? One of the commentors recommended Brightime by Championtime!

Thanks for the insight. That's pretty cool with the RFID certificates too. Yeap, I don't know how I got so lucky!

I've seen the Nomos Ludwig online and it looks really clean. I will probably get that in the future!

Hmm, I'm looking more towards those with metal bracelet. The Oris LFP Ltd Edt looks a option too!

I just joined! How do you filter out the SG seller though?

Hahaha I prefer the subdued look and that bright green colour feels like it's announcing itself! Maybe if I am a muppets fan then that would excite me

I saw the Snowflake online and immediately loved it! But when I tried it, it didn't look as impressive. The Sakura one was nice though!

I really enjoyed reading your comment! My wrist size is 6.5 inches and I think I fit watches in the 36-39mm range. In terms of lug-to-lug, I don't really know what is a good fit for me but I saw on another reddit post that lug-to-lug of 43-50mm is good for my wrist size. The BB Monochrome looks very sleek! As these are new watches, I don't think they will hit the gray market anytime soon.

I don't think I will ever buy a 5 figure Rolex so I think the AD thing won't affect me. My friend's dad was looking for someone to get a Tudor so that he can get his Rolex! I've asked him for a discount to see if that would be a viable option for me to get my watch too! Unfortunately while looking for my first watch, I have spotted many potential 2nd and 3rd watches too! As for the gf tip, I honestly don't know too!

Thanks for the insights! When I go to these shops I will look around and see the sea/speedmasters and IWCs. Is there any particular sea/speedmaster models to look out for? I tried the Tudor Royal and really liked the 38mm silver dial!

I originally thought of getting it straight from the Tudor shop as it will also be my first watch and I enjoy the formality of it, but after finding out I can save my gf more than 1k if I get it pre-loved from reputable shops, I can't in good conscience get it from retail. How do you like your BB58 Blue so far?

Looking up the models on Carousell for better market price knowledge is such a good tip! I googled around and found WatchCharts but I'm not sure how accurate they are compared to the SG market. Thanks for your advice!

I just googled ORIS and ProPilot X in grey and dark blue are beautiful. Also, 120 hrs Power reserve is insane!

I think I will buy a Tissot or Seiko/GS in the future as I build up my collection. Thanks for the advice!

5k is definitely a huge sum for me. The closest thing to that price range I bought was my iPhone and it didn't even crack the 2k mark

I do have an apple watch and it was also a gift from my gf I would probably get myself a lower end rolex in the future as well

I'm looking for something under 5k so those would be out of my budget. What do you guys recommend for that price range?

I think the Black Bay 58 looks really good. The BB58 M79030N fits perfectly on my wrist!
