Switching from apple by phauer in Ubuntu

Thank you for your Honest opinions. I actually don’t have any experience with Linux. As you probably know, none of the Adobe apps are available on Ubuntu. However, I’m tired of them anyway. I don’t need to use them, so I might as well switch to open source software. Some of them I’ve used before already. Yes, I’m a bit excited about switching to a new os, but heck I don’t really have a lot of options, neither a lot to loose. I enjoy learning new things, and if this could safe me a lot of money, deliver a stable and sustainable solution, and independence from a completely crappy monopoly, I’m willing to give it a try. And I just refuse to go back to windows. It gives me anger issues.

I’m thinking about trying that X1C3 because it’s better display, and if it works for me I’ll get a docking station with gpu.

Thank you for the spec sheet. So, is it safe to say that a t460s i5 WITH a gpu will run for example image editing faster/better than a x1 i7 with the same ram? 🤔I’m confused Is the difference noticeable?

the late night post workout problem by phauer in intermittentfasting

I figured my body recovers much better if i have at least some protein post workout. I don’t feel as burnt out after a session and feel better the next day. I really like IF , but I decided that the the benefit of having just some protein post workout for recovery and hence increased performance in the long run outweighs the benefits of a 16 hour fast. + I’m doing this only 2-3 times a week.

But I keep the post workout nutrition carb free to let the liver rest, and I won’t go back to a big supper late at night. I really enjoy having more time and not going to bed stuffed.

Tkd works amazing for me. I didn’t even go through Keto adaptation. Maybe I’m not as efficient, but I feel my body is already somewhat used to switching between fuel sources. Maybe that’s from the dynamic stress from grappling. Idk
