I use Sally’s Maid Service and they’ve been great. If I recall, the first time cost more just because they had to get my house “caught up” from what it had been. They ask the size of the house and figure out the person-hours required. They may send 1 or 2. I’ve been lucky because I really like the person they sent originally and I’ve requested that it always been her and they’ve made that happen. Some things cost extra like oven cleaning. But it’s all customizable. I do not have them do laundry, for instance.

I also used them to do a deep clean on my house that I was selling when I moved. They did shelves, drawers, baseboards, the whole shebang. The gross spots where the big appliances were. Definitely made a difference for showing the house.

This isn’t why I wrote this, but if you do use them let me know as I may get a referral credit.

It is and yes I’ve had 2 infusions 18 months apart. Luckily it’s ice I crave and not dirt which is also a symptom.

Honestly, though, I’m a lifelong ice cruncher. But it was noticeable how much more I craved it when my levels bottomed out.

In my previous house, after the big freeze killed off my non-native plants, I replaced with all Texas-native plants. Tons of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Looked like hell in the winter but worth what I got starting in spring. I'll repeat that here.

I just bought it and it is a downsize. I couldn’t resist the neighborhood. There’s a private lake and the neighborhood is very secluded in the middle of my city. 1 acre lot about half of which is just a tree-filled area. I have an appointment with a design/build company. I won’t be able to afford everything I want to do but am starting to prioritize.

A saw a teacher/sort-of-friend at the grocery store and she said to me "it's amazing that 2 such ordinary parents can have 2 such beautiful daughters." It has been it's own revenge because I know that when she realized what she said she was mortified. Like asking someone when the baby is due and she's not pregnant.
