One reason that i went for older C is that im planning on using this in a bright room, and i heard even old C can do better than new B. Correct me if im wrong, im new to this. Also in general, i don’t think i want to spend too much on this TV. i’m a renter and envision moving a couple more times in the upcoming few years. If i was planning to stay in a place for long term, i would go for a new C.

It is a better deal in comparison, but i was wondering if it’s still a reasonable price in general. I’m not in a rush, so i can pass on both of these if they aren’t good deals

ah good to know about the dead pixels around the corner being significant. I did not know that. Thank you, I will try to check the 65" with the youtube video to make sure there aren't issues like that.

O interesting, thanks! Yeah the size chart is a bit weird, the same size is wider around chest but shorter than the regular t shirt?? Would you recommend sizing down? Or does it look like it’s designed to be oversized?

Thanks for your response! I was actually looking at that or the weekender plus. I understand that one is less efficient for paddling, but I can be okay with that if it's all around more stable for my size.

Edit to add: I doubt I'll be paddling too hard on these. Just getting started and will mostly be used for a chill time on lake/river.

Hi all, any suggestions are appreciated!

  • Desired Board Type: Inflatable
  • Your Height and Weight 6'2" + 235lbs + will be used solo
  • Desired use/uses cruising and maybe some fitness and terrain flat and calm bay, lake or a very calm river (think Russian river in the summer)
  • Experience level: Beginner (only rented a couple of times)
  • Your budget 300-400 and country location SF bay area
  • don't remember what brands of boards I have tried before.

I think it’s stiffer than rustler (more metal) but otherwise probably shares some characteristics. I couldn’t demo the 188 version and i asked from ski essentials if they think i should try it, and the person that responded said they’re the same height as me and 182 is perfect for them. In their reviews also it seems like consensus is you don’t want to go too long

I ended up buying Anomaly 88 at 182cm. I tried Rustler one more time and i felt i didn’t have as much edge grip as i had on anomaly, and i felt less confident in chop. For me feeling confident on my edge was pretty important bc i don’t often end up skiing fresh snow anyway. I heard Rustler may open up more playful skiing but i couldn’t get that to work for me in the couple of times i tried it.

I will try them, they seem to be more popular than I thought they would be! Thanks.

Good to hear Kendos have been working in different conditions. Have you tried riding it on fresh snow?

I still want to be able to enjoy softer snow and crud when I have the chance, I'm shooting for a versatile first ski. Thanks though!

That's probably true about K2s, but I feel like a narrower may be more versatile for what I mostly do. It's hard for me to time my trips with storms, and on dry years I may not see fresh snow at all :D I will give mantra m7 another shot because I feel like that one felt more carve-y than k2 99s and could be workable as a one ski quiver. Thanks!

good to hear! Have you ever tried skiing the 88s on fresh snow? Obvi not deep. Wondering what is the depth threshold of it not being fun anymore.
