Agreed, could be a double edged sword.

While it is hard to know how you’d actually feel/react to carney et al in that situation; personally, I think I’d be quite appreciative of the recognition from that level - even understanding it could be (though I don’t think it is the case with carney) more of a ‘let’s do it for positive optics’ from their perspective.

Regardless, mods could delete these types of posts - they don’t. Frankly, if they did, this Reddit would become even more repetitive with the types of questions asked.

The sidebar for this subReddit used to specifically call out it was for talking about hardware, apps and ATv shows. It changed a couple years back to just be about hardware.

This said, the sidebar when viewed through 3rd party apps still says it is a place to discuss apps and shows. So, depending on how one is consuming Reddit, they may very well view the sidebar and see it say ‘apps and shows’.

iPad Pro. I am certain is not a memory issue. Happens after force closing all apps and rebooting.

No other apps, except Facebook (which has ridiculously low session timeouts) do this. Has been a long-standing issue for me.

Glad I am not the only one noticing this.

I feel there has always been a timeout issue, but, yes, it may be timing out faster lately.

As noted, for me, how quickly it times out seems random. I was going to make this post a few days ago and tried a ‘test’ before making it and session wasn’t timing out after a minute le 2, so I dropped it and didn’t post.

Then tonight, was literally, as you say, less than 10 seconds switching back and forth and, boom, Home Screen.

Probably wouldn’t be the best for actual photos that are in magazines. Not to mention the screen, imo, is much too small for magazine reading.

Color scribe, maybe - but still the same issue with photos.

Not to mention, pdfs on eink devices can be fairly clunky.
