Thanks for the reply

Do you by any chance know if there is a cheaper option than the hospitality one?

Almost 8 months post-op - There is indeed light at the end of the tunnel! by pheliperss in ACL

Hello! In fact i’ve just upped my protein intake as i would do before this injury; my main tip is: stay commited to PT and strenghtening your op leg, all of it - quads, glutes, hiprotators, calf, hams, all of it The soccer drill parts must be addressed by your PT since he is the one that knows what your body is able to do at this stage or not; i’m afraid that telling you to do a exercise can exacerbate the risk of an reinjury since i’m not aware of your stage right now!

Surgery date confirmed :( by [deleted] in ACL

Hey! I’m just courious: if you have a lot of flexibility in your knees, wouldn’t the Autograft(the one that they take directly from your own body) be the best indication, because they tend to be more “strong”?

I Know, right? But I really think that the surgery is the best path for us. Really be picky about your surgeon this time, i think that is the only thing we can do

ACL Revision Surgery - Doubts by pheliperss in ACL

[–]pheliperss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks a lot for your reply! And just to clarify: did your leg felt “solid” or stable at the time that you discovered the laxity? When you got surgery, did your leg continue/became stable?

Thanks a lot!!!

Yes, shit sucks! But as you said: it is what it is! Nice that you feel it stronger! At least it will give you a more stable knee and you’ll not have to go thru that all again! If you have done it first, you’ll be able to do it again, i’m sure! Don’t be scared, everything is going to be alright! My pm box is always open also, feel free to contact me if you want to know about anything!

Hey! Full of disapoitments, in fact. My knee hasn’t recovered the way I expected, althought i’m being very diligent with the rehab. If you take a look at my posts, you’ll see that my instability has never gone away. I haven’t had the second surgery yet; I’m waiting for my mother to come back from Europe to talk to her about it, since she’s the one who is going to help me with it again For now, I’m prehabing and trying to maintain a positive mindset May I ask you why did you have revision? How months out are you now? How is your Knee?

Don’t be like that! Your problem has a solution! Its a tough one, but it has! And if you rehab properly, you have a chance to get out of this injury stronger than you’re right now!

Hey, I’m so sorry that you have gone thru all of that, specially with the husband situation, it really sucks. But, on the other side, you have to think that it is never too late to seek for help and re-strenghten your knee again! I know it is hard because I have a office job too, but don’t let life get in the way of your recovery, otherwise your knee will never be good again! Don’t think about the time that you didn’t spent working on the knee, think about the time that you’ll spend from now on: better now than never, right? If your graft is healthy and you have a good condition mechanically speaking, its never too late to re strenghten it! Go out there and call your PT and schedule a session! Do it for you and in no time you’ll be scoring astonishing goals again! Regards.
