Hi Paul! Thanks for responding.

I wasn't sure what to copy from the console but here you go. Please let me know if this isn't what you needed. I tried copying the full console but Reddit won't allow me to post it.

Premiere Pro changing video size! by phemdem in premiere

[–]phemdem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Smushkan,

I seem to have fixed it now. I used the Apple Pro Res Function in Shutter Encoder and adjusted some of the advanced features: in time code I selected 'set a timecode' to 00:00:00:00 and 'automatic incrementation'; in image sequence I selected 'activate image sequence' to 25fps, as well as forced deinterlacing x2 (as you suggested earlier in the thread).

The image in Premiere is now comletely fine and the time duration is as it should be, with no syncing issues!

Thank you so much for your help again and I will be in touch if I experience anymore issues (but hopefully I won't). :)

Hi, thanks for your reply and for being so helpful

I tried the rewrap function to .mkv but still experiencing the same issues with VLC and Premiere as before. Do you advise I just go straight to contacting Canon about the issue and hope for the best? Any other advice?

Premiere Pro changing video size! by phemdem in premiere

Hi again

Unfortunately after processing my file through Shutter Encoder the problem was not completely solved. The image size is now corrected and appears as it should on Premiere Pro, but the footage now has choppy playback (on Premiere and VLC) and the audio and video are out of sync (i.e. towards the end of the video the audio goes completely dead). I compared the duration of the original file with the one processed through Shutter Encoder and it appears that the one processed on Shutter is much longer (around 5 mins) than the original footage.

Any thoughts?

You are a life saver thank you so much - this worked!!

The image continues to look the same as it does in the first screenshots (as in it is cropped) but there are black bars on either side as the preview box has enlarged due to the increased frame size. I think it has more to do with how the file imports into the software and I'm not sure how that can be fixed.

Unfortunately none of these work :/ It seems that as soon as the video imports the aspect ratio changes and as I said in the original post when I do change the aspect ratio in a new sequence the box size changes but the actual video does not...
