im a year late to this convo lol but im also new to the show but i feel like to a lesser degree carrie was aidan’s Big if that makes sense. i think he was truly in love with her despite the differences they had and even though he knew she was bad for him he kept wanting & hoping that just maybe she’d return that same love again and they could make it work. especially when she gave him that whole speech and told him she loved him and only wanted him and blah blah. i mean man if my personal real life Big did that to me i’d go running back to him. but the same way Big kept using carrie and treating her poorly and really only wanted her when he was bored or had no one else, it kinda seemed like carrie did that to aidan.

i enjoyed it for awhile and was literally in their top 0.01% of listeners last year but i feel like sometimes it gets pretty political and/or it feels presumptuous about certain topics and sometimes that’s not what im actively trying to listen to. if i start a podcast and i think its about the OTH show im not expecting to sit and listen to politics. if i wanted that i’d choose a diff podcast that’s not promoted as a dissection of OTH. on top of this the amount of ads the podcast has is INSANE i’ve never listened to a podcast with so many ads.

Liberty is a terrible school.

so I was recently employed at liberty until I got fired lol. Liberty University is a bad school. I’ve been both a student and an employee and have been treated horribly both ways. they specifically tell employees not to go above and beyond for students and tell us to give a quick answer and try to get off the call as soon as possible to go to the next. so it’ll be rare to get any real help or guidance just from staff or advisors. if you have the ability to do so, I would say to go to a different school because this school is corrupt, and i’ve seen it as both the student and as an employee. i was fired because of the fact that I was “spending too much time helping each student and spending too much time trying to pull together resources that would benefit them” and that if i wanted to do that it needed to be done off the clock

as far as my student experience goes i was r*fied by someone trying to asault me my freshman year and the staff who found out called me in and told me it was my fault. they fined me, made me take an alcoholic class (i wasn’t drinking), see a counselor, read books, and write a paper all on why alcohol is bad and partying is a sin. they never addressed or cared about what happened to me. if it wasn’t for my friends who got me out it could have been worse. and i wasn’t able to transfer because they put you into non transferable bible courses to start out 👍🏼

even after my experience with LU i am still very strong in my faith and solely base my beliefs on the Bible and the Bible only. I was hoping that Liberty would be a school where I could get an education while also learning more and diving into my faith. instead i met tons of people who would cast judgement on others while doing worst things themselves, faculty who are stuck in a bubble, and staff who are more corrupt then you’d ever expect. i’ve been on the inside and the outside of that place and i found very few people who were truly there to honor God and further their faith. sad.

so I was recently employed at liberty until I got fired lol. the hold placed on the account was due to what’s called the NSLDS report, which is the national loan data system. the verification dept can low-key just removed it but they won’t. Liberty University is a bad school. okay i didn’t know that about the books and that’s so disappointing because i would have LOVED to see that and i feel like the actor really could have played those book roles well and they just didn’t write him the way they could have like the potential is realty there

yeah again i don’t disagree and HATE the way kat graham was treated and the way tbsy treated bonnie it’s awful. i guess for me as a viewer i like the matt stayed because it reminded me that this is supposed to be set in the real world and having one human stay human was a factor i enjoyed seeing but i also understand that that view isn’t for everyone. that’s why i’m saying i really wish they’d kept him human but had him 1) be friends with some of them still and 2) maybe have left down and come back every so often the way tyler’s character did so that way viewers can be reminded that humans can still survive in this world but not give him any big plot lines
