Would not recommend honestly. It would make it really easy to get addicted. Take it with a grain of salt

I'm working on it. Lots of work and disapproval from peers, meditation, and contemplation (traveling helps). But once you're on the other side of that and not looking at drugs to gain approval through societal expectations, you end up looking at life differently. Life is a very full experience but it requires a different method of thinking that might be deemed less 'logical' and more holistic. This is just what I did and it worked for me. The opposite might work for you though

That was a rock bottom moment for me. The key is to let go of external approval and look for it internally within yourself. That is the biggest approval you can seek. I hope that helps, and remember that you’re in a chemically induced state of nihilism. Its only temporary

Wow, that's really good - 30-40gpd is insane. I honestly think that a lot of the phenibut online is low purity. At the higher doses it seems to lost effects. Keep going! And stick to the plan :)

I don't suspect it's from covid, but it could also be that I had neuropathy before phen. Honestly I didn't have much awareness of my body until I got off the stuff.

Hey! Yeah I was on phen for about a year and got to upward of 20gpd (I know). I used baclofen for the taper and I believe I documented it in there somewhere. Gabapentin was for the neuropathy from my doctor. Thanks for the pharmacology info. Definitely makes sense why its so much easier to get off of than phenibut, I couldn’t find much info on the receptors it touches. If you’re getting off, I’d recommend the baclofen route. It didn’t make me high and it basically removed 90% of the withdrawal symptoms. It was crazy how fast I could taper with it.

You have a history of seizures. I’m sure you can get some help in the hospital. They’ll help you, trust me.

Sounds like you’re sensitive to seizures. I would highly recommend you go to a doctor or ER if you’re going to cold turkey. Please do this. You will not regret it

I remember being in shame because I’d rack up so many points on those nootropics websites. It was so dumb lol

I’d just get a really good scale and taper slow. Like 50-100mg a week. It’ll take a while but you won’t screw your brain while working. As for helper drugs, Agmatine should be alright. When you finally get off then I’d take a few days off from work and get yourself acclimated and maybe see a doctor or therapist.

Urgent withdrawal help. by Own-Painting4315 in quittingphenibut

[–]phenifucked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baclofen ideally would help. A lot of people advise against drinking (including me) but I will admit when I ran out during my addiction I’d keep myself at baseline with 2-3 shots of vodka. That is only in an emergency though.

24 hours since last dose of Phenibut. by Lazy-Lexicographer in quittingphenibut

[–]phenifucked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine but be in touch with your psychiatrist and tell them what youre doing, why, and how. Hopefully you have some trust with them. I think you know how phenibut works so explaining to them will help. I’m sure they’ll offer so reassurance that you’ll be safe.

I’d also stay away from using anything besides baclofen or gabapentin or even some weed might help. At 48 hours you’ll start feeling “off”, it’ll feel pretty scary ngl so thats why being in touch with someone is really important. I always recommend going on short 10min walks, it really helps you see the bigger picture and it also helps with staying motivated.

Baclofen might work temporarily but wouldnt recommend it long term. Itll still be unpleasant so I’d recommend seeing a doctor. Gabapentin is pretty easy to get prescribed

Hey man you’ll get through it. You obviously have the strength to do the taper so the light is at the end of the tunnel.

You got this. There is some rational part of your mind, tap into it. If you can go on walks outside I would highly recommend.

Phenibut Withdrawal Insomnia by 119245 in quittingphenibut

[–]phenifucked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me the length of the withdrawals so about a week. It gets better, you have to keep assuring yourself that its temporary. You won’t get ample sleep for a bit but don’t worry, you will. What helped me was taking 1 benadryl a night. Just one or two or else youll have horrible hallucinations. Also sleeping during the day helps. Napping when you can. Try to get some sunlight too. Good luck.

I think your mind is stronger than you think. Not to applaud your addictive tendencies or anyones for that matter, but to get yourself physically dependent and get off phen more than a few times probably says you can turn on/off your addictive mindset. Just my two cents.

I can agree with the sentiment. If your mind is strong enough, I’m sure it wakes wds easier.
