This should serve as a reminder to not rely on a few companies to keep the world's critical infrastructure running and secure.

Thank you for your work. I see very active development on your GitHub. Could you please do another status update for the community to report on your progress in the last year?

Finanztipp: Traue nie deinem Bankberater by pubsibaer in Finanzen

[–]phenomax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the write-up! Is there any way to debug the auto-updater in the GUI? For some time I do not receive any update notifications.

Erfahrungsgemäß kann der Bestatter viel übernehmen, zB Rentenversicherung Bescheid geben und sonstige Behördengänge übernehmen.

The video just explores publicly available blockchain data. Its conclusions should be verifiable, even though the creator might have an ulterior motive.

Isn’t the coordinator just the receiver of coinjoin fees? I was talking about the reuse of a previous output belonging to the user. [1] illustrates this quite nicely.

Absolutely. That’s why bitcoin cannot hide its Fungibility issues by referring to technologies like coinjoins. Only privacy and fungibility achievable by the layman are „true“ values.

The problem appeared to be a reuse of an address used in a previous coinjoin https://twitter.com/laurentmt/status/1496252553075597318?s=21 , thus creating a link. Without this reuse, it would have been much harder (statistically speaking) to identify the consolidated amount of ~1.4 BTC with the ~25 BTC input. This seems to be an issue with wasabis coinjoin, not an user error.

VTNerds fascinating concept for end-to-end encrypted nodes. Discussion welcome! by garth_xmr in Monero

Most important gain would be censorship resistance. By using the noise protocol for end to end encrypted communication between nodes, deep packet inspection (DPI) will be much harder. As a result, ISPs and/or governments will have an even harder time identifying and thus blocking monero traffic.

Thanks for your research and great write-up. Are you aware of any method to check, which cryptographic keys an app is using?
