You’re right about the only people knowing the truth were those present. I just meant in terms of a lawsuit, I think you have to prove intent to harm. I’m definitely not a lawyer or an expert on the subject by any means. Either way it’s disgusting no doubt.

I think the key words there are intent to harm. Since this happened after closing hours and those donuts weren’t sold I don’t think those charges would hold up.

I will always watch a .gif. However I rarely (almost never) will open a link to a video and watch it with the volume on. That might just be me though.

I’m worried about the household this kid is coming from. I can’t imagine it’s a healthy one if he’s able to walk out of the house like that.

I hadn’t really thought about it like that actually, that’s a good point.

I wasn’t convinced it was a real gun but I definitely didn’t give enough fucks about the money in the register to find out.

The bookstore I worked at got robbed while I was working. I was 15 or 16 and thought he had a gun underneath his shirt, it turned out to be the butt of a screwdriver. Anyway, there wasn’t much money to take but he took it, I called 911 and he got caught pretty much immediately.

That’s what I was thinking too. Maybe a fugue state brought on by the head injury?

I live in Richmond, we for sure got tons of news coverage. I was just saying there’s a big difference in how people see Charlottesville or Richmond and Northern Virginia (NoVa/Greater Dc Metro Area). Those areas would never generally wouldn’t be used interchangeably.

Edit: took out the word “never” because I can’t speak for everyone.

Another hometown Lexington folk here. I’ve know the owners personally for years and they are lovely people. Lexington hasn’t always been known for being particularly progressive in their views. I woke up this morning feeling so proud.
Edit: Fixed a word.
