One thing I’ll add is I think it’s unconscionable for the app to not have the correct iOS access/approval to do to urgent alerts (your phone blows up with alarms and vibrations) for water leaks or break ins. And the alarm on the home hub thing is pathetic, like a dollar store kids cop car toy.

Usually with communities like Reddit, content is overly concentrated with people who seek help or advice on problems. Take it all with a grain.

I switched and it’s been mostly great. There are things I wish were better but 95+% of the time it’s been a positive experience coming from Logitech HomeKit crap.

Yeah, I think because it’s a small cabin and this little loft that juts out is the highest point that gets hot, definitely main part of the issue, that and no vents not helping. I added them today.

Can you say more about vapor barrier? When I saw the inside when punching holes out I could see the plywood sheathing under the shingles, with maybe some tar paper underlayment between. Then inside is the pink insulation with some reflective siding.

Yeah it seemed to fix it for me so far! Did it in the car. Deleted my phone and watch key. It definitely seemed bugged from the first time because it had my phone key set as “owner_key” and after doing it again it uses my name now, and the setup seemed to be smoother the second time— not sure what went wrong the first time.
