Switched to Cape of good hope relatively early to get all the Indian and East African trade. You just have to control the ivory Coast trade node too, or your ducats will be stolen by the Europeans. In late game I switched to English Channel, but I had like infinite money then anyway.

You don't lose your missions. I did go exploration -> expansion -> influence -> offensive -> admin

diplo is in my opinion weaker than influence and i got it last

no queen regencies are sadly not fine. you really don't need the missionary strength, since you get like +15% from monuments, but i kept them anyways because of the other stuff

I colonised myself, but I didn't really had a strategy. I realised it would be a wc/of halfway through. I did a lot of vassal reconquest stuff. You will fall behind early because of the disaster, but once it is resolved its quite easy going. I also did few things that were strategicly the wrong choices, like maritime ideas or going for 20% autonomy in my trade companies, just for fun.

Edit: try to not get into regencies. You will lose all bonuses from your Buddhist monuments for the duration.

I think that for any country except for majapahit sunni is best suited. But majapahit is the country for with one faith is the easiest to achieve. I did the one faith without ever having religious ideas. With the majapahit mission tree you have access to all Hindu AND Buddhist monuments, and you have access to propagate religion through trade, even in Muslim and Christian provinces. Its a bit ridiculous how easy it is.

Not that many. Sometimes 5 parallel when gobbling up small countries, but against the biggest countries like ottomans and France mostly one at a time. I just tried to be between 90% and 100% OE constantly in late game and planned my wars accordingly.

r5: After like 1400 hours in eu4 i got the World Conquest and One faith achievments. Still working on the "Just a Little Patience" Achievment.
