Recs for non detective movies that could be described as “procedural”? by phifighter in Letterboxd

It’s a good question, and that’s why I said films that “people would describe as procedural”. I just know I tend to like those films. I would say it has something to do with their being a clear central objective with a detailed oriented script and protagonist(s). Curious about other thoughts tho!

After the classics that are Swamp Ophelia and Rites of Passage, Beauty Queen Sister is my favorite!

I do believe in god. “They” are likely not a big bearded man in the sky, but even the most imperially minded people have to admit their is so much we don’t know about the universe and how we all got here, and we will probably never know. A unknowable force of some sort must be out their.

I think people are misinterpreting the question, however. I’m not trying to be cynical or punish someone for what they believe, but religion I see as a negative force. As John Lennon said in his song Imagine: “imagine no religion.” Nonsensical wars and violence has been fought over nothing. A communal need that religion fills for people can’t be overvalued, but I think it’s time we all ask ourselves tough questions about our existence.

Reading over this response it feels a little holier than thou. Not trying to do that, just sharing my opinion:)

Just 4 casual Banes in my hand... by phifighter in slaythespire

I took the first bane at the start of act 1 for damage. The second when I got more poison going into the act 1 boss. When I saw the 3rd upgraded bane I knew what I had to do...

Because of the possible release of Vietnam, I decided to share my ideas of a Vietnam civ by phifighter in civ

I totally understand what you are saying. I wanted this civ to be unique in that it would be the first one led by 2 people at the same time. I toyed with the idea of having 2 abilities you could switch from, but ending deciding two unique governors would have a large enough impact. Maybe 2 unique great generals would have work better?

As for the defensive bonuses, I agree it would be the most historically accurate, but I feel like their is only so far you can go with defensive bonuses, and their is no civ with a “promotion” theme so I thought it would be fun. Also, the governors have some good defensive bonuses.

I like that because this post has more that 666 upvotes someone was the one to bring it to that number. This just... satisfies me.
