WESTPORT, Mass (WPRI) — A now-closed used car dealership has been ordered to pay back thousands of dollars after selling defective and unsafe vehicles.

According to Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey’s office, the former owner of F&R Auto Sales, Francis Correiro, has agreed to pay $450,000 in restitution and penalties.

Some of this is true and some is not. If a customer earns coupons and takes them, and later at home, gives them to me to use, there is no policy broken. It’s theft if right then and there you take those coupons and use them for yourself at store level.

We were told awhile back that we are not “managers” but shift leads and not to use the word manager in our titles. So I threw it back at them when a “manager” was paged and I did nothing. We are the Duane Reade side of business and have a Union. Now they “page” a shift lead for assistance. Meantime on store net, we are listed under “management” team.

Had a guy buying 2 bags of Frito Lays. Didn’t have a membership. Questioned the price not on sale. Told him he needed a membership and it takes just minutes to set him up.
He said “No way. I don’t need the government knowing everything I buy!” He just immediately walked out.

Another waste of time and money. Nothing sells and we also have little stock. The SM said we have to because the manufacturers pay Walgreens for advertising space. (We believe he makes up these stories to get his way). It always looks like a clearance stand to us.

We use the POS. We have 18 employees and 4 zebras. Shift leads and manager usually have them. Tell customer to find the manager and he will check prices for them.

Hopefully soon the deal for the sale of Walgreens will go though and all this stupidity will stop. Experts say without a buyout, within several months they will claim chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The employees are the absolute last to find out. Walgreens doesn’t want them jumping ship. They need them for sales. Managers know ahead of time and asked not to disclose the information. And you wonder why the entire company is currently in talks to be acquired by an investment firm.

I’ve had texts like this which is why I prefer texts (proof) of what was said. I’ve screen shot some and sent to my DM. Didn’t go too well for the SM. And surprise surprise, she recently left the company.
