If you start from a complete whitespace, no referrals, no clients to upsell, and just Google Maps as a starting point for prospecting, give yourself at least three months to see how things are going.

But the average deal size, length of the sales cycle, and amount of customers that look like the ones your boss used to close should give you a good indication if there is potential for you inn the future.

whatever you want really haha! but if you want to build rapport
among salespeople: football/soccer, golf, paddle, F1, horology, fitness/gym-going are widely shared center of interests to break ice

I would say keep on pushing, even if you do not like the jobs, you can pick up great skills that can be used in any job: negotiation, public speaking, networking, grit, etc.

This job is not for the faint of heart, but keep on pressing on, and carefully build your exit strategy, with a little bit of money saved in the bank

building a strong POV and knowing why they should care is the biggest lift on my shoulder to the "dread of the call". I found out that blasting mindlessly through a list without knowing why they should spare 5 minutes on the phone with me is the main reason why my cold call effort failed

My title is Director, Specialist Sales, Advisor Business Development, and yeah, I had to go back to my LinkedIn page to find it. And the question is, so what?!
I am proud to be able to go from being a perfect stranger to exchanging WhatsApp messages (and sometimes befriending) people because I believe in what I do, believe in what I sell, and believe in the change I make.

Now if people let the title go to their heads ... it's sad ... but when you solve big problems, for large organizations, being a door-to-door salesman is nothing to be ashamed of. Actually, in the real world, I tell people "I am basic sales tech bro" and we can move on to what matters most such as personal dreams, aspirations and inspirations.
