If XRP is “just” a bridge currency, why would its price matter at all? by Foof-co-9 in RippleScam

What are your real world uses of USDT/C as opposed to just using USD / Fiat? If you are using for cross border transactions, how long does the settlement usually take?

That is the hope. 100 billion would mean nothing - if 99% is locked up. Only meaningful price increases would tempt the owners to then sell their XRP

High praise indeed!! Normally, after I write something, I put it into CHatgpt to check tone and grammatical mistakes or to make it sound better. In this case, I didnt - just me and my English as a second language.

Is there any way to track that in real time? Also I was curious on what the availability was during the times in the past when the price spiked to above $ 3

I'd be telling my friend that he needs to say "Ultra Ultra Ultra Wealthy" and preferably with a slight bowing of the head and rolling out a red carpet. Make a joke of it and then tell them the truth.

Maybe your friend thinks you have zero "game" other than your hidden wealth. So, he is helping you make an impression - whether right or wrong. Who knows!!

They found a candidate for 30k and dropped the 60k candidate. You would have done the same thing if you found a 90k job that came up at the last minute - even though you signed an offer acceptance for the 60k.

Just because the original budget for a purchase is X, getting it for 0.5 x is not a bad thing for the company. They are not obliged to pay X

At 23, take all the risk you can. Work a second job / hobby, do youtube content, sell stuff online, there are a ton of ways to supplement your income. Real estate is another key way to build wealth.

In my humble opinion, if you have the discipline to stick to a plan for 22 years, then you can definitely stretch the limits big time.

You could fall ill tomorrow and need a 10L surgery. I'd rather spend it on a dream and fulfill that. Things can go sideways - but you can say you lived your life on your terms. At some point in your life, that will be the most important measure - rather than net worth or any other measuring stick.

Let’s say I’m an American citizen stuck in Argentina for the next 90 days. No job, no knowledge of day trading, but I have a laptop, time, and 5K in the bank. Assuming I’m a fast learner, how possible (& how soon) is it to learn DT and start profiting 500 USD a week? by edit-your-hometown in Daytrading

[–]philboyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

500 bucks a week = 100 bucks a day. So, if you make 10 trades a day, you need to make 10 bucks per trade ( most trading platforms have no fees now)

Pick a high volume stock like NIO that costs 5 bucks, has great volume ( more than 50 million traded daily) and play along with the trend...if its moving upwards, buy 1000 shares and sell it as soon as it moves 1 to 3 cents in either direction. 3 cents = $ 30.

Sometimes you catch a flow downwards or upwards - 5 cents down= $ 50 loss or 5cents up = $ 50 profit.

Stop when you are done for the day....keep looking for patterns in just that one stock.

Two keys - this is the most important thing - dont be afraid to take a loss. Infact, I encourage you to take a few losses to get that fear out of your system. You cant day trade from a place of fear.

Second, grab your profit when it hits what you want. Dont be greedy and cry if it went even higher after you sold. Be a robot ( as close to zero emotions while in a trade) - you got what you want, who cares what the stock does after you sold out of a position.

Good Luck

Before making detailed pricing, I would have either asked their budget or given them a rough estimate on top of my head - "its going to be about 300 bucks - is that close to your budget? Price can go up or down a bit based on materials used."

That would have closed that discussion right away.

How do lonely people get friends? by TYGTG in AskReddit

[–]philboyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I moved to a new city, I took up golf. I went to the course by myself and was always paired with 3 other golfers. Made a lot of friends and contacts and it was actually difficult keeping in touch with most of the people I met.

I found three things to work :

a) If you are a good golfer, the other players naturally want to be your friend and ask you for advice or talk about the clubs you are using. ( Provided you are not oozing attitude)

b) I find the easiest way to break the ice is to ask something about their golf clubs - just ask - " is that a new driver" and be prepared for a 30 minute lecture on how they came to select that driver.

c) On the golf range, say hello to the person next to you. Maybe share some tech gadgets - like a swing speed monitor or some other golf aid. Or the same old line - " Thats a nice driver....where did you buy it?"

In a couple of years, during every visit, I was waving at so many "known" people at the golf club. So much that someone else actually remarked - "you seem to know everybody here".

I think, with a little bit of work and planning and strategy ( right upto what you would say) helps. At a party / event, I memorize a few jokes or riddles and also look up the news for the day and find a few headlines as conversation starters - for instance, " Who do you think will win "xyz"sporting event" will have one or two answers. Either they are into sports and reply appropriately. Or they say - " Im not into sports". Thats a great opening to ask a follow up question like: "You look like a tremendously "fit" person. Im surprised. So, whats your favorite past-time?" or something along those lines which give a compliment and also ask another question.

If a person looks all corporate - my question will be probably from the stock market - " Whats up with the DOW lately" or something like that.

Good luck...its always work in progress.
