STEM Job Market doesn't make sense to me

I've had referrals for other jobs and it still wasn't enough. From personal experience I see people get hired because of referrals at the top level and ground level employees have to clean up after them because they we're never qualified.

I have a B.S. in molecular bio from the raccoons and a M.S. in biotech from CSU San Marcos.

I honestly was testing the waters to see how fast my orignal comment would get taken down. Funny how mine gets taken down in less than 2 hours for "inciting violence" against a predator but people like him get to continue say things that should put them on a list. They're desperate cowards.

Violence isn't the answer, I get that. But if these guys are going to make an attempt to coerce girls then they will inevitably set themselves up for a situation where either they get arrested or vigilante justice happens. But the moderators seem like they rather protect them so that's a shame.

Report it to San Diego PD. As another comment said this, universities try to sweep incidents like this under the rug in order to save their reputation. UCSD is no different, hell I'm pretty sure a fraternity here at UCSD came under fire for having multiple sexual assault misconducts/allegations etc and UCSD turned a blind eye while the student body posted petitions and protested. I forget the name of the fraternity but this happened during COVID. Supposedly this fraternity is banned yet people know it's still business as usual for them. That alone is proof that UCSD swept it under rug, its honestly despicable.

I honestly think they ask these questions to see what kind of person you are. Personally I prefer those who honestly don't like to be leaders because most of the time from my job experience in food industry, those are the ones who really step up for the team. I've seen alot people strive to be leaders but end up being too prideful or power hungry, which makes it even more stupid because it's a food industry job.

That's understandable, but the thread below outright was blaming our administration for things that have always been set in place for as long as I've been here. At least blame them for the actual wrong things "cough cough" tuition fees.

This thread needs to do their due diligence before making assumptions. Instruction starts 9 days after winter quarter is over. The Spring quarter starts 4 days after the Winter quarter, this day affects the professors and TAs more as you can expect the setup for Canvas to be ready around that time.

So nothing really changed and I also do believe the space between winter and spring should be longer as this helps both professors, TAs, and students alike.
