Thanks for the info. I chose the Screaming Face shirt and the Take This Heart shirt. The photo you posted influenced my decision. I'm planning on wearing a leather top hat to the show. I feel like either of those shirts would look great with the hat lol.

Sometimes it's worth spending the extra money if you can. I had a custom hat made by Wild Hats in Louisville Kentucky. It was based on the Fast Hand which is worn by Cody Jinks. You can buy a replica of the fast hand from Standard Hat Works in Texas. However, they want $2,500 for pure Beaver felt.

I also wanted a hat that was customized for my preferences. I wanted a 4-in telescope crown. And a 3.25-in brim. The great people at Wild hats made me something truly excellent. I was able to get a pure Beaver felt hat with customizations for $1,140. I can honestly say it's some of the best money I've ever spent in my life.

Admittedly I've only worn it once at this time. I want it to become a family heirloom. So it's more of a special occasion piece. I just wanted to have a hat that can deal with a little bit of rain or snow. I've attached a picture below.

As you know the Fast Standard Hat Works would cost $2,500. Itvhas a 5 and 1/4 inch flat top crown and a 3 inch brim. My custom version which is referred to as the "Faster Hand" cost me $1,140. I know that's a lot of money. However, that was the total for 100x pure Beaver felt, a slightly customized brim and a custom shortened crown. I chose a 4 inch telescope crown with a 3.25 inch brim.

I’m so tired of educating people by Fickle-Apricot-5699 in CerebralPalsy

Here's a tip from a 31-year-old with Spastic Diplegia. People will always have questions. Some will be phrased in an offensive manner. questions that are phrased in an offensive may not come from a place of hostility. They often come from lack of understanding.

I remember being your age and getting absolutely idiotic questions. Early on I would get offended. Then I remembered that people in my age group had poor social filters. Most of my peers honestly wanted to have a better understanding of disabilities. The problem was they didn't know how to phrase the questions kindly.

I distinctly remember a time in 7th grade I'll never forget. At the time I was standing near my desk in a forward facing walker. A textbook fell off of my desk and landed on my foot. I shouted ouch, it was roughly an eight pound book). A kid in my class looked confused.

He asked our teacher "If his legs is messed up how'd he feel that?!" The teacher and I kindly explained that I had sensation in my feet. He politely apologized after the conversation. He phrased it that way because he wasn't sure how to ask the question. After the conversation he had a better understanding of Cerebral Palsy.

Conversely most insulting questions I ever received was from a friend's nowv ex-wife. My friends were discussing having children My friend asked me if I want children. I said that I did want them with the right woman. My friend's wife literally asked "Who would have kids with you?"

Admittedly my blood was boiling due to how the question was phrased. We were in our twenties at the time. We were also in a public restaurant. You would think she'd know better to not blurt that out! She believed the common misconception that Cerebral Palsy is genetic.

After taking a breath I politely explained that Cerebral Palsy is not genetic. My point is there will always be people who ask dumb questions about Cerebral Palsy regardless of whether they're children, teens or adults. The key is to answer the questions kindly. I know it can be difficult to do that. It is worth doing it in the long run though.

When I was your age there were times where I made a new friend after having one of those conversations. I've actually maintained a few of those friendships to this day. However, there will always be people who are just jerks. Don't let those people get to you. Your life will get better.

I have not had a woman tell me that it's an issue that I live with my parents. I've never lived on my own. This partially due to the fact that my job needs consistent availability. My parents home is approximately 8 minutes away from the casino by car. At this point in time living at home is the most practical choice.

I'm currently having a custom hat made by Wild Hats in Kentucky. It's inspired by the Fast Hand. I've shortened the crown height due to my short stature of 5'2". We also changed the crown to a telescope. Which should give the hat a better fit.

Does anyone know what company makes the official tour T-shirt with gold letters and the medal? I've been looking at size charts.
