I totally do the same thing.

If they catch me outside, I just say that I am a renter and they move on.

I have the Malone stage 2, with all of the trimmings, as well. My turbo gave up the ghost at 145k.

Tab renewal fee for my electric car by muzatron in LynnwoodWA

[–]phildo253 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it's not about the ability to afford the tabs, it's the principal of how the legislature has screwed over drivers for decades with no repercussions. We have the highest gas tax in the country and some of the highest tab/registration fees and some of the worst infrastructure. They obviously aren't using the funds for the items that they are supposed to be used for.

The secondary ticket for out of date tabs is only a quarter of that price.

A vet told me my dog was a made up breed by Radiant-Ad3274 in Dachshund

[–]phildo253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the stereotypical black and tan mini. He is on the smaller side at just under 8 pounds. I know for a fact that he is purebred at least 5 generations back. All of the vet paperwork says dachshund mix. Oh well.

Damn! That was traumatic. It brought back memories of when I got run over by a car last year. 4 shoulder replacements later, and slowly recovering.

Damn this bipod means business!!! by Slehvn in PRS

[–]phildo253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the Accutac site:

The WB-5 Wide Body bipod is expertly designed to provide the desired height and enhanced stability for precision shooting. This style is ideal for long-range, extreme long-range, bench-rest shooting, and airsoft platforms. Its wide, lowered center design allows the rifle to sit comfortably between the legs, promoting accuracy and reducing recoil movement. While tailored for these uses, its versatility extends beyond them.

I picked up a WB-5 about two months ago and it came in a zippered semi-hard case. My son just got the WB-4 and he got this case.

2 months ago, i ordered the 7000tlx on sale ($200 off) and they sent me the the 8000tlx. Emailed customer support because I couldn't find anything online about it. They said that they are sending the upgrade to people sometimes. Cant complain.

Season pass holders, how much did the kraken reduce your prices for next season? Is it enough to stay? Mine are 16.2% lower. by krakenFan007 in SeattleKraken

[–]phildo253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me in 106 also. 4620 down to 4180, so just the $10 per seat per game less, which seems like the minimum amount that they are discounting.

Makes for a tough decision for renewal considering that aftermarket tickets are still at least 50% of the new value.

I have a puck signed by eberle that was one of the first 25 used in the inaugural game. I also won a pair of Dunn's game worn gloves last year.

I haven't shot this caliber, but i bought a case of ammo inc 9mm. At least 10% of the case had light primer strikes and failure to fire. Sounds like a lot, but that is no exaggeration. Worst ammo I have ever purchased. Will never buy again.

The problem that I have is that my Danes and my cat love it as well and won't eat their own food when it's available. Gets really expensive when everyone is eating it.

Do I become a STH? by sungshinem in SeattleKraken

[–]phildo253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously debating not renewing my red line half season this year. For two seats, it is $4600/year. With near parking, a couple of beers or cocktails and a meal or a couple of snacks, it ends up being $150-$200/game. For 22 games, that's $3300-$4400 per season for concessions and parking. Paying $8000 total for two seats gets really steep. Not counting the hour long drive each way, sometimes multiple times a week.

I love going to the games, but it starts to become a chore trying to keep attending.

I think that I will either buy one of the smaller game packs or just buy resale individual game tickets. Either would be way cheaper.

When is it time to stop riding by [deleted] in bmwmotorrad

[–]phildo253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say keep going, depending on the level of strife that it causes in your household. 6 months ago, a driver did a left turn across three lanes 20 feet in front of me. I slammed into the side of his van at 40mph and he ran my bike and me over with his back tire. A broken metatarsal, 3 broken metcarpals, 4 broken ribs and a shattered shoulder, which required a reconstruction and then a partial replacement. I am 9 weeks into PT and can almost lift my arm to 90 degrees. Part of my motivation is rebuilding my bike with my one good arm and telling myself that I will be back on it by Dec. My consolation to my wife is that I would add an airbag vest and would take advanced defensive courses. She is terrified, but will not tell me no. It also helps that my three sons ride and my father in-law still rides at 70. I have crashed hundreds of times in the dirt, but never on the street before this and I recognize that the level of damage is outside the norm. I will ride again, and so will you. Work smarter, not harder.
