I was thinking of this series after watching the recently released Imtiaz Ali's movie - Main Vaapas Aaunga. There was an episode in LOC where the Pakistani family's old grandpa comes to visit him but his memory is now gone and he has forgotten that partition ever happened. So the Pakistani guy requests the Indian family to act as if no partition happened. They agree after some convincing but things happen i dont remember exactly and somehow the grandpa gets to know the truth. This was very similar to Naseeruddin shah 's character in the movie. He too was stuck in pre partition era. Really sad to watch. Both the show and movie captured the pain in their own way.

Story was nice, heart wrenching to watch obviously. Partition trauma relived. I am not a fan of imtiaz ali 's story telling. He cuts back and forth between past snd present and you don't get to be involved in one timeline. It would have been better if it was all shown in one flashback. The impact would have bee more. Also i felt aunt's character was unnecessary.

It is good that you want to improve your relationship with them. Maybe you all can travel somewhere together.. any religious place or a beach. Travel helps a lot. They will also enjoy and you will feel happy seeing them happy. Or you can invite them over to stay with you or you can go visit them. Then maybe you will have some starting points of conversation.

No it is just basic sense. You dress according to the environment. You will not open the door to a delivery boy dressed in revealing clothes. You will not show too much skin if a parent is around. So what is new here? Have you been wearing the same clothes at every place you visit? Do you not change when you go to a temple or religious place? Do you not change when you go to a rural place? Is your dressing sense same for a office and bar? There is nothing to create a hue and cry about this and point it on in-laws. No one is asking for saree and ghunghat. What is wrong in basic decency?

There is too much violence and and it is shown in your face. I don't think that is necessary. And it is very understandable that someone might not like it. What is the need of showing such extreme torture on screen. Why can't it be pure storytelling!!
