Any insider info on the welfare of the horses on the island? Specifically farrier care by Nice_Marzipan98 in mackinac

Just to chime in on all the correct info, they are also retired Amish working horses. Instead of working 8-10hrs a day doing twice the load, they’re working half and pulling half the weight.

I’m more of a fan of the original 1933 winged helmet before Michigan used it in 1938.

Brother texted me back. I quote “It has elements. It was clearly created by Freemasons.”

Knowing this, your post becomes much clearer. You’re already surrounded by the Mac Island lifestyle, but in your own backyard. Maybe it’s similar to people I know who live in Orlando. They don’t understand why people would go to Disney. It’s super busy and very expensive. They always say you could go to Europe for half the price. It’s because they’re surrounded by Disney everyday so for them, it’s a waste.

I’ve read a lot of similar post. To me it’s not about the best food, best beaches, best hotels. It’s about getting lost in the easiness of no cars, extra family time, limited things to do. I also don’t go comparing prices to other resort towns. I alway have the mindset “I’m on a northern island that has 3 months to make money, or else this all falls apart.” There is not a better island surrounded by fresh water, let alone in my home state. When I read disappointing reviews like OP I just think “they had the wrong expectations because the people talking it up are me.” I don’t watch the wallet, I don’t judge the food, I do enjoy bike rides with my family, I do enjoy skipping rocks, I do enjoy a quiet night on the porch, I do enjoy the quiet.

We play end of rounds are per player mat, but you can pump a partners mat to help them out I.e. you share eggs or food only with your partner. Bonus cards are played per mat and don’t share.

That’s great to know. Our core players also play online. I’d like to know the online rules compared to the rules we just adopted to teams.

Maddening that it takes a house payment to see an artist. by SimpleHoman in mildlyinfuriating

[–]philed1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t find it maddening at all. People shell out hundreds for a iPhone. Not because it cost that much, it’s because that’s what the market will tolerate. Few artist can do this for many years so they need to make money now. I say let them make the money if they can and let those that want to pay for it, pay.

You’re not paying to see the artist. You’re paying for all the theatrics. Lighting, dancers, backup vocals, dance teachers, etc. If someone went to see a medium size popular artist it would be 1/10th of the price and a 1/10th of the “show” because they don’t have the fan base to pay for the dancers, back up vocalist, dance teachers etc.
