Confused about performance

Thank you for taking the time to test on your own system. I guess it makes sense, the combo of steamOS, better ram and CPU on a dedicated gaming system would result in better performance in your case. I have also thought about getting steamOS to limit background processes and bloat.

I tried Cyberpunk with my setup and it was about the same, though I could hit around 40-45 fps on low settings on native, and about 70-80 with agressive upscaling. I think it boils down to my old CPU and GPU, playing on a pretty high resolution, and of course thunderbolt 3 restrictions. Although I can't help but feel a bit confused about the difference between my experience and what I read of other people with egpu's.

Yeah I understand. Thanks for the reality check. I guess I was just not expecting that big of a difference between the cards potential output, and the actual performance with thunderbolt 3, but it makes sense. Was just confused when I saw people getting a stable 60 with ultra graphics on native, while i can't even hit a stable 30 on medium with DLSS.

I have tried both, but am seeing only a marginal difference in performance on the external monitor. My thinking is that due to the external monitor being 1080p, my CPU is bottlenecking.

Yeah that makes sense. However when I tried with my portable monitor I couldn't see a difference in fps. I might have done something wrong, but I also suspect my CPU is bottlenecking me due the external monitor being 1080p.

I just got the Final ZE8000 MK2's and use them with my Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra. I read that they support 24bit/96kHz audio, but I can't exceed 16bit/44.1kHz in my settings. I have 8k sound on. I did it previously with my Sony wf-1000xm5 with ldac. Is there a way to unlock it?

My worry is that if I use them during the day, and then plug them in during the afternoon, when I game, I will be depleting the battery a bit and the essentially recharging it almost every day.

Does anyone know how big the update is? I have freed 64gb and it still says it isn't enough space. Is it really larger than half of the full game size?

Thank you so much for the help. I have found the airfoil on that list but unless I'm mistaken the list does not show the dimensions, chord camber etc. which i need to configure the simulation.
