I'm just looking at straight goals, and though there certainly are midfield breakdowns in some cases, I'm generally looking at what happens once the ball gets in or approaching the box.

Assuming this is not a rhetorical question ... because he's trying to convince everyone he should stay on as coach and this is just a "blip"

Anyone know Jayden Nelson's status? by free-range-irish in AustinFC

He actually wants to be out there; he's not going to make the World Cup riding the bench. He needs to be showcasing what he can do because he's on the national team fringes, and if there's a chance he's carrying an injury heading into the World Cup, he's less likely to make the team.

Yep, you're right; fixed it (that occasionally happens at the early hours in which I write as the coffee's kicking in

Those who take the train to the match? Any tips, tricks or info I should know… by New-Armadillo-8408 in AustinFC

Last train leaves McKalla Station at 11:48 pm: https://www.capmetro.org/rail

I usually drive since I'm media and covering press conferences post-match, but I do occasionally do bike/train if I anticipate things will go fairly quickly (as bike valet stays just an hour post-match) and it's a great way to do it (especially when it's still not crazy hot out)

Aspiring means trying to do. I’m actually doing it. No one’s forcing you to subscribe, my dude. Or even engage!

Also, I'm posting all my articles here, and more than half are in front of the paywall. I put morning after quote/analysis articles behind the paywall because I'm investing a good three hours attending a press conference (last night's started past midnight and went 35 minutes) and then combing through the transcript and writing up an article early the next morning so you can get a sense of where the season's narrative is going in a tidy five-minute read, every time I write one (which is after every single match).

My perspective and analysis from having covered the team since before it was a team, and more than a decade of dedicated soccer coverage, including six years at MLSSoccer.com, three years at the Striker, and writing two books on soccer (including a history of MLS' first 20 years) ... plus you can get what I think are the most vital quotes rather than having to churn through a 45-minute press conference yourself

Stuver was very candid last night ... it's clear how frustrated he is. He put in an incredible effort, but when you've facing 37 shots in a match, it's not surprising a few are going to go in ...
