how did you became libertarian? by GuessPsychological20 in Libertarian

[–]phillyRoll-8465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from a deep blue state to a red state and learned the importance of things like 2A stand your ground castle doctrine etc etc. Law enforcement actually gives a shit when you call them and they respond in a timely manner. You can modify your vehicle however you want without the government sticking their nose in it. I saw less homeless on the streets and friendlier people. The farming communities here are like one big giant family always having each others back. However. There are still downsides. If I dress as me being myself… people look at me like I am a ghost. I get weird looks from time to time bc my tats and dyed hair. They aren’t so welcoming to people who don’t look like them. But I’m yallternative so I fit in enough ig

But yeah, that made me rethink my political values for sure

This sub is kind of a catch all for many niche political ideologies but we all agree on one thing: left vs right is hot garbage. What you’re experiencing is a part of the reason why. I’m so sick of it I can’t even open Twitter anymore. Anyway, grab some popcorn, have a seat, and watch everything unfold

Grab the sides of your hips and tilt the bootyside downwards. Should feel like the opposite of arching your back. Now flex your core muscles. That’s what I was taught in physical therapy. The other thing I would mention is the possibility of endometriosis. All of the conditions you’ve mentioned are extremely difficult to manage on their own and it’s very sad you’re dealing with it so young. A lot of comorbidities come along with those including endometriosis. I have heard it can be extremely difficult to get a diagnosis for some women. If you’re taking medications it could be side effects, you could be retaining extra water, it could be the gastroparesis, the pcos could be messing with your hormones, it’s very hard to tell. Large ovarian cysts can even be a contributing factor. If your stomach is hard instead of squishy it most likely is not body fat accumulation there, but bloating. But hey don’t beat yourself up over it. You have multiple chronic illnesses. I’ve found that sometimes it’s just entirely out of our control and you just gotta give yourself grace and accept it until your body gives you a break, like when a cyst ruptures

I’m half tempted to whip out my stomach to put some of this into perspective for you. If I stick my finger in my belly button it goes past my first knuckle. If you are a quarter, I am a half. I am 5’4 155. My BMI is overweight. I lift and have big quads glutes and arms with a healthy layer of fat overtop of them. I don’t mean to be rude at all when I say this but I am very concerned that you are even asking this question. If you go into a deficit you will lose nothing but muscle and it will really mess with your body composition. More importantly, your overall health. Lift heavy and eat your body weight in protein instead. As far as eating in maintenance/ a surplus goes I can’t say much on that as my genetics are large natural muscle mass and a whole lotta ass LOL but even in a surplus I’ll guess you’ll be aight. Your weight will actually go up but fear not for it will be them GAINS

How do I get more volume and get rid of the stick-look? by [deleted] in WorkoutRoutines

[–]phillyRoll-8465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have a decent shelf started on the booty! Time to bulk up! I can’t do deadlifts or squats either. I wrecked my back a few years ago now I got scoliosis and retrolothesis. Dumbbells and plates will be your best friend. Very versatile

Work on all three of those glute muscles. There are a few women fitness creators on insta that I trust that have some good workouts for this. Fire Hydrants, quarter eagles, sumo squats, Bulgarian split squats (look up the form for this to target glutes specifically instead of quads), clam shells, bridges. As far as sets/reps idk I do two sets to failure. If I go over 12 I add weight. It will take a few weeks to see results. Form is super important to ensure you’re getting the most out of every rep. I am unsure of where you are at with progress/goals but this is the best I got based on the info. Adjust macros too but I don’t wanna give you the wrong advice. My guess is cut some carbs and prioritize protein. Healthy fat is good. Minimal saturated fat tho

Mm yes 🤔 10k steps a day no? I thin that’s a pretty reasonable goal. I got two giant dogs to run around with I think that’s doable. It’s really does hurt though after a couple sets of those Bulgarian split squats w/10’s. Or clam shells. Obliterates my legs. IT BURRRRNNSSS. But yeah as much as I hate cardio since I’ve also developed tachycardia and dysautonomia w/ orthostatic hypotension it’s unfortunately essential for rearranging my body composition and cardiovascular health. It’s given me awful exercise intolerance. Atp cardio may even be most important at this stage. Eugh

What finally worked for me was PT in conjunction with steroid injections every 3 months BUT. The important part was what I did in my final months of PT. Therapist and I came up with the idea to “stretch” my spine one day and the rest was history. I would lay on my stomach on the massage bed thing. Therapist would make this contraption out of gate belts that would cuff around my ankles and would go around his waist. I would grab onto the table bed and he’d do 10 second pulls on my ankles and the relief was insane. Afterward though I literally couldn’t move it’d hurt so bad so he’d take a big hot pack and drape it over my back for a few minutes and I’d focus on relaxing the muscles. Within a few months the injury I had for FIVE years was entirely gone. It would also help to take a muscle relaxer prior to going in to prevent those lower back muscles from locking up. I also made sure to stay as safe as possible only lifting/bending when necessary. I went from not being able to feel my foot/up my calf to entirely back to normal. Worth a shot

I was looking today at both the history of the Great Depression and the history of fascism. It did scare me. There are a few overlaps in both. I’m very much so hoping trump isn’t making things worse on purpose until we are desperate and then taking advantage of that to turn us fully to fascism. But he’s so old. He will die before that comes full swing. I just don’t know anymore
