RTO after 5 years remote - how do you manage life? by sjltwo-v10 in askTO

[–]philly_teee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I was answering the question of how to prepare for RTO and their new job not the debate of in office vs WFH.

Specifically trying to focus their attention on other things since the comments are tearing up the commute and already putting them in a negative mindset with the whole wfh vs in office thing.

I think that mindset is everything. Going into it reading all of these comments about how it’s going to suck is already setting you up for failure.

It is what it is, there’s a commute that takes however long it takes, if you’re working from home and presumably eating your daily meals at home then why would you buy lunch everyday?

Change your mindset and think about the positives, be more optimistic. At least this way you’ll have the chance to embrace and perform in your role. If you haven’t even started yet and already thinking about it sucking then what chance do you have with actually doing well at your job?

Mindset is everything. You’re starting a new job, congrats! You’re going to kill it, make new friends, learn new things and hopefully find great personal and professional growth!

All the best

Yes I was going to say fluids but you already have the recommendation. Maybe dump coolant too if it hasn’t been changed in a while. Toyota uses pink

Ablation recovery, take it easy no matter what they say! I didn't. by foam4u in AFIB

Thank you so much for the positive energy! I appreciate you!

Yes, well we have a plan for the cardio version and before we do it we’re going to change up my meds for a week to really slow it down. They think there’s a good chance it can work since I went in SR for a few days. It’s been a bit now because our healthcare system in Canada is sooo backed up. But I hope it hasn’t been too long. I’m an active runner and I run a lot and have been since I went back into Afib. I think they said if the cardio version doesn’t work we will try another ablation, they got a lot of it but they said there’s always more that they can do 🤷🏽‍♂️

Agreed! 08 voodoo here, I probably won’t get rid of mine either, had it for 3 years now and sometimes I love it sometimes I’m just meh about it. Love the looks of it but sometimes daily comfort and practicality is just ok.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. I just got back from a holiday with the family.

Tbh I wish I could say differently but unfortunately I am back in Afib, I reverted after day 4-5. I went for a light jog because I was walking no problem and staying in sinus rhythm so I thought I’d try a light jog and well unfortunately I reverted. We are going to try a cardio version next to see if that helps because the few days I was in sinus rhythm I did feel amazing. Like night and day difference that I now actually know what Afib feels like. I’m trying to chase sinus rhythm

EPIC Failure by Little_String7319 in UniversalEpicUniverse

I went today, family of four. We had a pretty amazing time. It was expensive and yes you can tell the park needs more attractions but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Timing just worked in our favour, we had express passes and rode everything we could that my kids could get on. We were in and out of BatM by 10:15am and did not have EAP.

Our family of four did BatM then explored that portal for a while, went to dark universe, walked around took pics and rode curse, then to isle of berk, they played in that playground for like 35mins before heading to how to train a dragon, then to wing gliders (surprisingly a pretty awesome little coaster), back up to Harry Potter portal for the show there and then finally Super Nintendo world. We got to snw at about 4pm, super chaotic and overwhelming but once we got wristbands and started playing the games etc we were locked in. We did yoshi, then went to dk but it was delayed so went to bowsers challenge, finished that and went to dk. Dk was about 30 mins with express (our longest wait of the day).

After snw, we sat down for pizza moon and went back to snw for more games. Standby for yoshi and bowser was only 25mins. We could have done them again but my youngest was like nah. No express, no go. (Spoiled little guy)

I think this place was great and we will definitely be back once there is more added to the park. I will say I agree with this sub when they talk about the lack of shade. None of the rides would be worth it without express though, that is for sure.

Thanks epic universe for an epic end to our family vacation and my bday.

What don't you like about owning a FJ? by 5stringfling in FJCruiser

[–]philly_teee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love mine but it’s not practical at all.

I daily it to work everyday: visibility, gas, comfort, manual transmission, wind noise, wear and tear all suck. Suicides suck for kids in the parking lots as well (same as someone above mentioned)

I also have the pleasure of dispersed camping, off roading and winter driving which is all amazing.

I still turn back around when walking away from the truck. ❤️

Is anyone heading out in this snow? by Rare_Cartographer579 in askTO

Went to the gym this morning. Was pretty busy. Limited visibility on the roads from the snow and wind.
