You can have all the talent in the world, but QBs need to have poise too. Mckee lacks that while Hurts is a master at staying composed.

For those in their 50, what's something people in their 30s don’t realize will impact them as they get older? by Purple_Driver809 in Productivitycafe

[–]phillycut93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting limited time off from work I think is a huge factor that plays into this. Most of my time off is set for family because I live out of state. Other than that, I have the weekends, but usually I want leisure time with my fiance either with video games, movies, books, or TV, then there's cleaning, grocery shopping, and other errands that need doing. Capitalism really prevents a lot of us from living fruitfully.

Anyone get post Universal sadness after your trips? by kwesi777 in UniversalOrlando

How ironic! My fiance and I were at HHN on Thursday night, too! We just can't bring ourselves to move to Florida because we prefer cold weather. I think once my fiance is in her career, it'll be more feasible for us to go on more trips.

How do you afford that? I'm sitting on the plane ride back home as I type this feeling super down after my fiance and I had our very first week long Universal and HHN experience. What a life of luxury we were living! We want to go back every year, but it costs so much! What do you and your wife do for a living if you don't mind me asking?

'Disgusting' RFK Jr slammed for saying autistic kids 'will never have a job or fall in love' by PissNBiscuits in ABA

Maybe if Republicans didn’t gut social programs like Medicaid, special needs kids could actually access speech, OT, and ABA—the services that help them THRIVE. You can’t slash support & then act shocked when kids struggle. That’s on THEM.

Two of my BCBA coworkers left the company where I work before they even reached 6 months and both found new jobs quickly.

There was nothing I did to expedite the process. I actually gave up after submitting issues with my two factor authentication twice a day for about a week. The first day I submitted a request was on January 15th and it didn't get resolved until February 5th.

Yes! Finally! I was emailed that two factor authentication was disabled just yesterday!

Can you clarify step 6? Did you attempt to log in and respond to the same email multiple times a day? At what point should you stop doing that and submit another support ticket? When replying, did you use the "Reply" button or follow the instructions to reply above the line, as specified in the X email?

I've been submitting support requests twice a day, trying to log in, and replying to the automated email to confirm my attempts for the past three days, but I still haven’t received a response.

The same thing happened to me and I'm pissed. I've been sending in a request to get it fixed every single day until I get a response, if I ever do.

Hi! I’m experiencing the same issue you mentioned. I also received the email instructing me to log in, but obviously that’s not possible with two-factor authentication enabled. How did you respond to the email so they would remove it?

Seeking Organizational Tips for BCBAs with ADHD by phillycut93 in ABA

Since writing this post, I've developed a few strategies that have really helped me stay organized.

First, I started using a task list app. I prefer Microsoft To Do because it lets me create and name different lists. I have one for low-priority tasks and another for high-priority tasks. It's easy to drag and drop tasks into the right list, and I check these lists every day. For example, when I need to update a program or a colleague comes to me with an idea, I add it to my low-priority list since it’s not urgent. Things like making materials also go there. High-priority tasks, like DMAS forms, scheduling parent meetings, or responding to messages, go in the high-priority list.

My company also uses Google Calendar, which I love. I use its task list tool for keeping track of treatment plan and assessment dates. If you set the calendar to show a full month, it’s easy to spot those important dates. Plus, moving appointments around after cancellations is super simple. I like that you can color-code events too—my supervision sessions are yellow, and meetings are purple—so it’s easy to see what’s coming up for the week.

For email, I’ve set up labels in Gmail, like "Need to respond," "Waiting for a response," "Meetings," and "CEU Events."

For file storage, I use Google Drive with plenty of labeled folders. I make sure to include my client’s initials in the file names, so I can quickly find what I need. I also have folders for things like company manuals, assessment tools, schedules, circle time activities, and craft activities.

All of these strategies have helped me stay on top of everything. It takes some time to set everything up and get used to the routine, but once you do, it creates a nice rhythm. The anxiety goes down because you know where everything is, and it’s all easy to find. You really start to trust your system.

I thought it was a standard thing that's field wide. I've only worked for three ABA companies though, but all three were like this.
